Specific map secrets

  • KF-Stalker-Prometheus (custom). During trader time, shoot the "PROMETHEUS" sign on the cinema: Stalkers pour in from all sides and the trader countdown freezes until they are dead. A second secret: shooting the barrels right of the outdoor shop's entrance released two Fleshpounds. In 2012 players reported nothing happened at the barrels any more, so the map may have changed.
  • KF-HeresyBeta3 (custom). From the shop side you can walk through a wall into a secret room. At the other end of the map, money lies behind a welded door that has to be unwelded. Opposite that door stands a coffin: crouch and walk exactly into the middle of the coffin from the door side to find a stash with money and a shotgun.
  • KF-Icebreaker. The katana near the spawn point (close to the central lower trader) respawns some time after being picked up, so you can take it several times per round. Handy for players who join mid-game.
  • Lila Panik v.3 (custom). Jump onto the car's bonnet and press Use (E by default).

Official map and character easter eggs

  • KF-Waterworks. In one of the traders (the longest and narrowest one), the glass between the player and the trader reflects someone's yard instead of the shop. Forum members thought the glass was taken from another map without fixing the reflection; similar glass reflecting a different map appears on almost every map.
  • KF-Offices. On the third floor, where the trader is, there are windows with sills: step behind them and the glass reflects an aeroplane.
  • KF-Aperture. Behind a welded door lies a spinning egg; to see it you have to unweld the door, which takes a while (forum members guessed it is the same door that leads to the Golden Potato, see achievements). In the trader with the TV you can jump onto a crate and stand so your character's head ends up inside the TV, a "TV-head man". It is unclear whether this is an easter egg or an oversight.
  • DJ Skully. The backpack on this skin carries the Tripwire logo.
