Which parts of The Descent are fixed and which are random?

Only the first wave (outside) and the boss fight in the Throne Room are fixed. The rooms in between are random.

KF2 The Descent: Hans Collectibles Locations

The Descent is the Killing Floor 2 map with a hidden Hans collectible set (the "Hans Off the Merchandise" achievement theme). This guide, written in April 2020 by a player who admitted to being late to the party, shows where each Hans is hidden, room by room. Only the first wave (outside) and the boss fight in the Throne Room are fixed, being the beginning and end of The Descent. All the rooms in between are random, so the order in which you see them will change.

Outside (wave 1)

Hans outside, on the right One of the three outside collectibles, near the basement entrance.

In the corner just to your right when you spawn.
On the right side, near the basement entrance.
Behind trees, where the stairs divide in two.

Morgue

In one of the cold chambers, to the right of the trader.
Sitting on top of a pipe, on your left when the trader is behind you.
On a chair, on your right when the trader is behind you.

Dungeon

Behind a pillar on the right.
Under a table, to the left of the exit.

The Boiling Pot

On the passageway behind the trader.
In the downstairs area on the right (the same side as the exit).
In the downstairs area on the left, with the barrels.

"Anton was here" room (Test Room)

To the left of the trader, between barrels.
Between stuff in the control console area, where the "Anton was here" tag is.
Downstairs, on a shelf.

Library

Lava Room

On a beam above the trader.
In the mine.
On top of a crate, where the lava comes from.

Leaking Red Pipe

On top of an electrical panel, just left of the exit and trader.
On top of a pipe.
Next to one of the stairs.

Throne Room (boss)
