KF2 Berserker Guide for 10-Wave Games (Brazilian Portuguese)

This is a translation and paraphrase of a Brazilian Portuguese guide for 10-wave matches, marked outdated by its author, so numbers and skill trees have changed since. Compare with the modern Berserker perk page.

Introduction

Bonuses (as listed)

  • Weapon damage (1 percent per level)
  • Damage resistance (3 percent every 5 levels)
  • Night vision
  • Clots cannot grab you

The author jokes about another famous Berserk before explaining that the Berserker is the game's specialist in physical weapons: extremely agile and fast, able to land many hits and cut enemies down in seconds without fear of death. The role is also to protect the team by retaking lost areas, hold big ZEDs like Scrakes and Fleshpounds, and draw the attention of bosses. The downside of playing the tank is constantly depending on the Field Medic to heal huge damage, so the style fits multiplayer better.

Priority targets

Cyst, Clot, Slasher; Crawler; Siren; Scrake; Fleshpound.

Targets are limited because attacks are one-on-one. The Berserker needs physical attackers. Gorefasts wield swords, and fighting them becomes a sword fight in which they block and take longer to kill. Sirens are hard to block and can combo you. Bloats only take damage to the head and impact does little.

Arsenal

The Berserker wields heavy and fast melee weapons. Fast ones slice enemies quickly without hindering the team. Heavy ones deliver slow, hard blows that knock enemies down and stun them over time.

Crovel Crovel icon.

Crovel Survival Tool. The starting weapon, with heavy blows that easily knock opponents down.

Nailgun Vlad-1000 Nailgun icon.

Vlad-1000 Nailgun. A shotgun that fires many nails or one per shot. Not recommended because it has little effect with the Berserker.

Katana Katana icon.

Katana. The second tier-2 option, agile and deadly. Kills Clots and smaller ZEDs in a few hits.

Zweihander Zweihander icon.

Zweihander. A heavy sword; the strikes cut but the movement is heavy.

Pulverizer Pulverizer icon.

Pulverizer. Similar to the Zweihander, but its secondary attack has shotgun shells built in that cause an explosion around you.

Eviscerator Eviscerator icon.

Eviscerator. A saw launcher with a secondary attack that works like a chainsaw. Two ammo types: saw blades that can be picked up again, and fuel for the secondary attack.

Bone Crusher Bone Crusher icon.

Bone Crusher. The club and shield offer the maximum defense. The shield is nearly impenetrable and the shove pushes back even giant ZEDs.

EMP grenade EMP grenade icon.

EMP Grenade. Releases an electromagnetic pulse that stuns enemies.

Loadout

By the end of the match the Berserker should have:

  • For DPS (less dependence on the Field Medic): the Katana for weak ZEDs killed in a few hits, and the Eviscerator only for Sirens, Husks, Scrakes and Fleshpounds.
  • For tank: the Bone Crusher is the only ideal weapon, focused on defending against attacks and pushing ZEDs to keep room for the team rotation.

Economy: simply use the weapon you want until you have enough dosh for the next one.

Skills

Defender build "Defensor" build: for those who want to defend and hold enemies. No tier can be modified.

Black swordsman build "Espadachim negro" (black swordsman) build: for those who want to deal damage; only the second skill tier can be changed.
