Solo Hans Kill with Support: AA-12 Reload Loop
This early-access solo method uses the Support perk and the AA-12 to kill Hans Volter alone. The author claims the AA-12 ammo is enough if you follow the loop.
Preparation
Before the final wave, have the AA-12 auto shotgun with full ammo and full armor.
The loop
- Empty a magazine into the boss. Headshots are nice but not required.
- When you see him change color and throw white smoke bombs, reload immediately and back away while doing it.
Hans throws white smoke bombs: this is the moment to reload.
- After reloading, let him charge and drain you. When he is done he is stunned for a short time: empty the magazine into his head, moving closer if needed. Heal yourself afterwards and keep backing away.
After the drain he is stunned: head shots with the AA-12.
- When he changes color and throws smoke again, repeat steps 2 and 3.
- Rinse and repeat.
The author says the fight is shorter than it sounds, and that a Berserker could try the same idea with the sledgehammer's right-click attacks.
