Killing Floor Meta Loadouts 2025: Best Weapons Guide

What should you buy? The meta in KF1 has been solved for years, but new players often buy inefficient weapons. Here are the optimal loadouts for Hell on Earth.

1. Field Medic

Field Medic weapons Medic guns that heal teammates with darts.

  • Meta: MP7 + MP5 + M7A3 (Full Healing Spam).
  • Why: You don't need damage; you need dart recharge speed. Carrying multiple medic guns allows you to cycle through them and shoot infinite healing darts without waiting for recharge.
  • Alternative: Schneidzekk + Xbow (Combat Medic).

2. Support Specialist

  • Meta: AA12 + Hunting Shotgun + Axe.
  • AA12: For clearing trash and panicking Fleshpounds.
  • Hunting Shotgun: The "Uppercut" weapon for Scrakes.
  • Axe: For breaking doors without wasting ammo.

3. Sharpshooter

Sharpshooter weapons Sharpshooter weapons: rifles, crossbows and the M99.

  • Build A (Classic): Crossbow + Handcannon (Desert Eagle).
    • Cheap, effective, kills everything. Crossbow stuns Scrakes.
  • Build B (DPS): M14 EBR + LAR (Lever Action Rifle).
    • Higher skill ceiling. Requires rapid headshots (Rack 'em Up style).

4. Commando

Commando weapons Commando weapons: assault rifles and SMGs.

  • Meta: SCAR-H + FN FAL.
    • SCAR for single-tap trash clearing.
    • FN FAL for burst damage against medium zeds.
  • Don't buy: Bullpup (Scaling is bad past wave 3).

5. Berserker

Berserker weapons Berserker weapons: chainsaw, claymore, axes and more.

  • Meta: Katana + Fire Axe + Buzzsaw Bow.
    • Katana: Fast trash clearing.
    • Axe: Stun Scrakes with alt-fire.
    • Buzzsaw: Ranged option for Husk/Siren/Fleshpound.

6. Demolitions

Demolitions weapons Demolitions weapons: grenade launchers, rocket launchers and pipe bombs.

  • Meta: M32 + M79 + Pipe Bombs.
    • M32: Your main weapon.
    • M79: For single groups.
    • Pipes: Stack them for Fleshpounds.
  • Note: M4 203 is generally considered weak/overpriced.

7. Firebug

Firebug weapons Firebug weapons: flamethrowers, incendiary guns and flare revolvers.

  • Meta: Flamethrower + Husk Fireball Launcher + Dual Flares.
    • Husk Launcher allows you to charge shots and hurt Scrakes/FPs (unlike standard fire).

Classic 2011 loadouts

Sets from the "Weapon loadouts for all perks" thread (Папка01, 2011), from before the DLC weapons and rebalances; the team combos still work.

PerkLoadoutWhy
MedicMP7 + MP5 + LAR + macheteHeals, picks off Crawlers, Husks and Sirens, spends little and shares money with the team
MedicMP5 + crossbow + pipe bombs + macheteCan carry the game if the team dies: crossbow for Scrakes and Husks, pipes for Fleshpounds; good against the Patriarch
MedicMP7 + MP5 + M79 + DeagleSupport medic: heals with two guns, M79 at range, Deagle up close
SupportAA12 + shotgun + Deagle + macheteHolds a spot: the shotgun lasts longer between reloads; Deagle a Scrake from range, then AA12
SupportAA12 + hunting shotgun + macheteAgainst Scrakes and Fleshpounds: open with AA12, finish with a double blast; needs cover
SupportBenelli or shotgun + hunting shotgun + Deagle + machetePaired with a Demolitions player: Scrake takes 2-4 M32 grenades plus a double blast; lead the Fleshpound onto a pipe and fire both barrels while it stands on it
SupportAA12 + M32 + Deagle + macheteHolds a spot alone: M32 and AA12 for heavies, Deagle for leftovers
CommandoAK-47 + SCAR + macheteAK up close (bigger magazine), SCAR at range for Husks and Sirens
CommandoAK-47 + M32 + macheteThe reload bonus removes the M32's main drawback; helps kill Fleshpounds
CommandoSCAR + crossbow + macheteRanged fighting: crossbow headshots on a Scrake, finish with a SCAR magazine
DemolitionsM79 + M32 + pipe bombs + macheteTeam play only: crowds, Husks, Sirens; pipes for Fleshpounds
DemolitionsLAW + pipe bombsFor a good team: stuns Scrakes and big groups, weak up close
DemolitionsM32 + Deagle + pipe bombs + macheteStandard: M32 for groups, Deagle for whatever gets through
Sharpshootercrossbow + Deagle + macheteThe most effective: Deagle for small zeds, crossbow for the rest
Sharpshootercrossbow + Magnum + macheteMagnum instead of Deagle for more ammo
SharpshooterM14 + LARTrash-clearing sniper: M14 for crowds, LAR for Husks, Sirens and Scrakes
Firebugflamethrower + MAC-10Standard: MAC-10 ignites at range, flamethrower at mid range
Firebugflamethrower + DeagleFor tight maps: Deagle for Husks and single targets
FirebugMAC-10 + crossbow + pipe bombs + macheteRanged fighting with insurance against Scrakes and Fleshpounds
Berserkerkatana + axe + LARClassic: katana for small zeds, LAR for Crawlers, Husks and Sirens, axe for Scrakes and Fleshpounds

The author noted that once the MP5 arrived, medic sets without it were outdated, and that a medic gets less out of the SCAR than the AK-47.

The medic's second weapon

Source: killingfloor.ru forum, thread "Extra weapons for the Medic perk", 2011.

  • If the rest of the team are Berserkers, the medic was advised to take a rifle and a katana; with other perks, the crossbow.
  • The Hunting Shotgun (alt-fire double shot) was also suggested, with the objection that it only angers big zeds, except for finishing them, while Husks and Sirens are better shot from range.
  • Katana + medic gun + dual Deagles fills the medic's 15 kg exactly. The downside is a slower medic, and on high difficulties the katana does not help against Fleshpounds and Scrakes. If you want the speed to outrun Fleshpounds, the advice was to take only the katana.
  • Pipe bombs are never wasted: drop one and, without shooting, lead an "unshootable" zed over it. According to the poster, a pipe bomb deals about 1500 area damage, while a medic gun shot does about 30.
  • When the team holds a position with clear escape routes, put the bombs behind you so you can fall back over them when big zeds or a crowd push in, and mine the rear if zeds can come from there. Bombs placed in advance get set off by stragglers, so spend them on big zeds and do not lay them all at once. And remember where you put them.
