KF2 Character Biographies: Every Survivor and Variant
This guide collects the in-game backstories of the playable Killing Floor 2 survivors, from the original cast to the later Horzine robot and the holiday Santa. For the site's main overview see Character biographies and Unlockable characters.
Reverend Alberts
Reverend Alberts portrait.
Half English, half Scottish, a tough and no-nonsense man. He was an Army chaplain, then spent 20 years working with troubled youths in South London. After a pack of monsters destroyed his life's work one afternoon, he went from ministering to the dying to bringing his wrath down on the Zeds.
Donovan "Bulldog" Neal
Donovan "Bulldog" Neal.
Big and capable, but smarter than he looks. Born in Atlanta, educated, a former law-enforcement worker who founded and ran a security company that protected wrestlers. He was the brains as well as the muscle, and is now just another survivor in the wrong place.
Rae Higgins
Rae Higgins.
An Australian (born in Melbourne, raised in Darwin) who settled in London. A quiet data analyst by day and a rockabilly fan at weekends. She was at a rockabilly festival in Calafell, Spain when the outbreak began, so she missed the massacre of her office colleagues.
Hayato Tanaka
Hayato Tanaka.
Born in Okinawa and raised around the US military, he never fitted in on mainland Japan and turned to acting. After bit parts in Los Angeles and villain roles in French gangster films, he now blurs his own reality with his movie roles: Yakuza, demons and a Hollywood version of bushido.
Ana Larive
Ana Larive.
A drifter who photographs abandoned places and loves death metal. With society gone she cares even less, and she has found a new passion: blowing things up.
Lt. Bill Masterson
Lt. Bill Masterson.
A soldier with a patchy Army career who wanted heroic combat but got police actions. After quitting and drifting through bad jobs, he woke up to the apocalypse in London, armed himself from a Reserves barracks and began his own war. It was not what he trained for, but he is very good at it.
Classic Briar and PC Rob Briar
Classic Briar.
The classic Briar was called out to a London riot that turned out to be something much worse. His taste for violence kept him alive for months before he left Britain. He now applies old-fashioned policing to man-eating mutants, and his cheerful bobby attitude lifts the team, or annoys it.
PC Rob Briar.
PC Rob Briar became a police constable at 17 and had counter-terrorism experience with many firearms. Under the jokey exterior he is hard as nails, helped by the kevlar in his riot gear during the first days.
Classic Masterson
Classic Masterson.
Nobody quite understands how he rose through the ranks, though people suspect his richer cousin helped. A rough diamond of few polite words, unnaturally calm in combat, which others put down to lack of imagination. He always gets the job done.
Oisten Jagerhorn
Oisten Jagerhorn.
A big Swede who looks like a modern Viking. After the Great Nordic Biker war of the 1990s he preferred beer and playing lead guitar in a Metallica tribute band, Metalbika. When the outbreak hit Scandinavia, violence became the order of the day again. See also his free character page.
DJ Scully
DJ Scully.
The coolest Dutch underground DJ of his generation, loved by everyone. He had just finished a set at a disused asylum north of London when the Zeds appeared, and his quick wit and feet kept him alive. He cannot take life seriously, but he is very good at killing monsters, which started rumors he was ex-special forces.
Anton Strasser
Anton Strasser.
A German soldier who marched into Poland in 1939, France in 1940 and Russia in 1941. At Stalingrad in 1942 he was badly concussed at Gumrak airfield and flown out comatose into the hands of Hans Volter, who froze him for cryogenic tests. He was forgotten until an outbreak freed him, and he had one chance to kill Volter that he did not take.
Tom Banner
Tom Banner.
A Canadian management consultant obsessed with the Middle Ages who moved to England as a re-enactor. The game Chivalry let him act out the fantasy, and when the outbreak came he put on his armor to rescue maidens from monsters for real. He refuses to take the armor off.
Mr. Foster
Mr. Foster.
A day trader from a mediocre English private school who was told he would never amount to anything. He made large sums, insulted authority figures, and is either a sharp wit with great taste in clothes and cars or a jumped-up little tool.
Mrs. Foster
Mrs. Foster.
A scarily successful London trader who interviewed Mr. Foster. She was charmed enough to marry him in a whirlwind of flowers, lace, Zeds and explosives, and now they work together to exterminate Zeds for Dosh.
D.A.R. 2.0
D.A.R. 2.0.
An upgraded Horzine Domestic Assistant Robot. After meeting Zeds at Horzine Arctic Outpost 12 its programming was overwritten by Emergency Security Protocols, turning it into a killing machine that dislikes everyone except, slightly, Horzine staff. It was reassigned to Zed Containment Duty for field testing.
Badass Santa
Badass Santa.
Krampus came for Santa's elves, reindeer and home, so Santa picked up a machine gun. Centuries of Christmas cheer have been replaced by a scowl, muscle and a vast supply of ammunition.
