KF2 Steam Fortress: Battery Collectible Routes (12 and 17)
Steam Fortress is a Killing Floor 2 map whose collectibles are batteries scattered across a rocket-themed facility. The original guide gives two step-by-step walking routes from the spawn: a shorter one that picks up 12 batteries and a longer one for 17. Directions below are condensed but keep every turn; the shared stretches are shown once with their screenshots. See also the overview of KF2 collectible maps.
Spawn overview
Both routes start at the spawn. The batteries are the collectibles of this map; route 1 gets 12 of them, route 2 goes through the lower waterwheel and gear areas and gets 17.
Spawn location
Route 1 (12 batteries)
1. At the spawn turn right: a battery sits high on an outside ledge. You can skip it if you cannot hit it.

2. Turn around to face the trader pod: a battery lies on the ground to its right.

3. Face the spawn direction again, go left of the large stairway down (do not descend), take a small set of stairs down and straight back up, then climb the large curved stairs on the left. Look over the left railing: the battery is on a rock.

4. Go up and turn left through a doorway: the battery is on the shelf under the stairs ahead.

5. Climb these stairs and turn around: the battery is on a ledge near the glass windows.

6. Turn around again and go up the short stairs: the battery is ahead on a ledge beside a blue pipe.

7. Turn right and go down a short stairway, then past a large column: the battery is on the ground behind some cages and a red-and-white sphere.

8. Turn left and up another stairway, forward and right around a big spinning globe: it is under a stairway next to four stacked barrels.

9. Go up this stairway, turn right and up a small one: the battery is on the ground by a pallet with a red tarp.

10. Turn right and go down the small stairs, turn left and walk to the top of another stairway: the battery is to its right.

11. Go down these stairs, turn right and down another set, then through two sets of doors. Turn left: the battery is on a ledge behind a large red tarp.

12. Turn right and up the small stairs, circle the large rocket past a console and down a few steps, turn right: the battery is on the ground beside the railing.

Route 2 (17 batteries)
1. Same as route 1: the ledge battery at the spawn (skippable).

2. Walk toward the trader pod: the battery is on the ground to its right.

3. Pass the trader pod, go down a small stairway, then up another, and climb the large stairs toward a control panel and an outdoor waterwheel: the battery is outside on the ground beside the waterwheel support.

4. Turn left, go up the stairs, through the doorway and up another set: the battery is on the shelf right of a control panel.

5. Look out of the doorway on your right without going through: the battery is on a ledge behind a plant.

6. Turn around and drop to the floor below; to the left are tables with papers: the battery is behind them.

7. Go down toward the trader pod, out the right doorway and down a large stairway. A waterfall is on your right: the battery is on a rock.

8. Turn around, go in through the small doorway and left to a small stairway: the battery is on the ground right of it.

9. Go down toward two large gears: the battery is on a lower ledge here.

10. Go around to the other side of the gears and down three sets of stairs to a large gear: the battery is on the ground below it.

11. Turn left, up two large stairways, forward, right up small stairs through a gate, right again up a very long stairway: the battery lies on shelves under another stairway, in the back corner.

12. From here the route joins route 1: top of the stairs, near the glass windows.
