KF2 Patriarch Teaser: HZX-001 Computer Easter Egg

During early access a player found a small teaser inside a map: a Horzine computer screen that hints at the Patriarch coming back to Killing Floor 2. The guide is a step-by-step screenshot route (the author's first guide), without naming the map.

The route

Step 1. When you spawn, go through the door on the far right.

Spawn area and the far right door Leave the spawn room through the far right door.

Step 2. You pass a lunchroom where someone is celebrating a birthday. To the right of it there is a small room with a staircase; continue through there.

Step 3. Go up the staircase.

The staircase Climb the stairs.

Step 4. You arrive in a snow-themed room, described as the snowman's man cave. In the middle is a big pillar with a replica DNA strand on it. Look at the computer screen on the pillar.

The room with the DNA pillar The pillar with a DNA strand model and a computer screen.

Step 5. The screen shows the hype for the Patriarch's return. Look closely under the HZX-001 code: it says Patriarch, and he looks even bulkier than last game.

The Patriarch did later arrive as a boss; see the Hans Volter and boss pages for the first boss fight of that period.
