Killing Floor 2 ZEDs Wallpaper (1920x1080) - The 2015 Roster
"Killing Floor 2 Zeds (background)" is a fan-assembled desktop wallpaper shared as Steam Artwork in April 2015. The uploader wanted a new background and stitched it together from the ZED renders on the official Killing Floor 2 website. The result is a clean, dark 1920x1080 lineup of the regular ZEDs as Tripwire presented them just before Early Access. It doubles as a handy visual reference for the KF2 roster, and this page uses it that way: what is in the image, then a short note on every ZED it shows.
The full wallpaper: eleven ZEDs on a dark Horzine-style panel, each labeled by name.

The layout is two rows of character cards. Each card has the ZED's name in the top right corner and faint lab-style serial text underneath, the same look the official site used for its specimen files. The dark background keeps desktop icons readable on top of it.
Timing matters here: the image went up a few days before Killing Floor 2 launched in Steam Early Access on 21 April 2015. It captures the roster as it was first marketed, before later additions such as the Gorefiend, the Rioter, the Quarter Pound and the E.D.A.R. robots.
The ZEDs in the image
Top row
- Cyst - the weakest Clot type: slow, fragile and mostly a nuisance that fills up the wave.
- Stalker - a pale, cloaked female ZED that stays nearly invisible until she is right next to you. The Commando perk can reveal her.
- Husk - a strapped-together cyborg with an arm cannon. It shoots fireballs from range, uses a flamethrower up close and tries to blow itself up when nearly dead.
- Fleshpound - the heavy with grinder fists and a chest light that warns when it is about to rage. A raging Fleshpound is the most common team wipe in the game.
- Gorefast - a fast, muscular ZED with a long blade grafted to its arm.
- Clot - the basic grabber (the Alpha Clot in KF2 terms). It grabs and holds a player so others can attack.
Bottom row
- Slasher - an agile Clot type with clawed hands that dodges and rolls toward you.
- Bloat - a huge, swollen body armed with cleavers. It vomits bile that damages and obscures vision.
- Scrake - the chainsaw-wielding butcher in a leather apron. It enrages when hurt but not killed quickly.
- Siren - a restrained, emaciated ZED whose scream damages players and destroys explosives in flight.
- Crawler - a spider-like ZED that climbs walls and ceilings and pours out of vents.

Classic designs, new look
Every ZED on the wallpaper except the Cyst and the Slasher has a direct ancestor in the first Killing Floor. Comparing this image with the KF1 lineup shows how Killing Floor 2 kept the silhouettes and roles but pushed the anatomy, gore and lab equipment much further. The Siren's restraint harness, the Husk's improvised armor and the Fleshpound's grinding fists are all reworked versions of the original concepts. The full story, from the UT2004 mod to KF2, is in ZED evolution from KFMod to KF2.
Using it as a background
- The image is native 1920x1080, so it fits Full HD monitors without scaling. On 1440p or 4K screens it will be upscaled and look softer.
- The copy on this page is a compressed web preview. For the full-quality PNG, use the original Steam Artwork upload linked as the source.
- The art itself belongs to Tripwire Interactive; the upload is a fan compilation for personal use.
