KF2 Item Drops and Crafting: How They Work (Russian Guide)

This is a translation and paraphrase of a Russian-language community guide. It answers two common questions: how and when items drop in Killing Floor 2, and where crafting materials come from. For the wider picture of cosmetics and the economy, see the mempo mask crafting math guide.

How items drop

• Items drop twice per day, about every 12 hours.
• A drop can happen on absolutely any map.
• Tickets drop during events at random, in an interval of roughly 2 to 4 hours.

None of the following affects whether you get a drop:

• winning or losing the match;
• the number of players;
• your in-game activity;
• playing or just watching (even if you are only a spectator during the boss wave, the item still drops);
• difficulty and number of waves.

To see whether you received something, look at the end of the match: the drop is shown above the player list.

The dropped item appears above the scoreboard when the game ends.

Crafting and materials

Crafting in the game is small and simple. It consists of two kinds of crafting recipes and several quality tiers of materials.

Once you collect 10 materials of the first quality tier, you can craft one random item.

Where to get materials

1. Launch the game and open the Inventory tab.
2. Select any item (a case, a USB drive, anything).
3. Press Recycle.

Recycling an item gives a random material.

You receive a random material as the result.
