World Physics and Controls

Click where you want to go

Lineage 2 is a real-time tactical and strategic massively multiplayer role-playing game. Put simply, everything you do affects the world in one way or another, and the success of your plans depends on how quickly you make decisions.

Graphics and world physics

The world of Lineage 2 is built on a modern 3D engine that renders items and characters in detail. A character's appearance changes depending on the equipment worn - right down to earrings and rings.

The physical model of the world gives players a certain freedom of movement: a character can walk, fly, swim and even teleport.

Controls

The controls are convenient and can be learned in the first few hours of play, but real mastery takes longer: learning all the finer points of the gameplay can take weeks or even months.

Control follows the "click where you want to go" principle: the character can be controlled with both mouse and keyboard. The character performs almost every action automatically - the player only has to say what to do, as long as the action is available. This scheme is especially convenient for people who have never played games of this kind.

Control styles can be combined. For experienced players coming from other games, there is a macro system and a command line. The full list of hotkeys, chat commands and macros is in Chat and Commands.
