Second Profession: Shillien Knight

Palus Knight -> Shillien Knight: all three marks in one pass

Shillien Knight is the second profession of the Dark Elf Palus Knight, available at level 40. The next, third profession of this line is Shillien Templar. The class change requires three marks, and below is a combined route that completes the quests for all three marks in one optimized pass. The author of the original walkthrough warned that it may contain inaccuracies.

Route

Teleport to Giran and run to the Death Pass. Find Shadow Orim, talk to him and receive Orim's Diagram.
Use an SoE. In the Luxor shop (the shop that trades for crystals) find Trader Alexandria, talk to her and receive Alexandria's Book.
In the Mystic Guild find Magister Iker, talk to him and receive Iker's List.
Teleport to Oren and from there to the Ivory Tower. In the pit hunt Enchanted Stone Golem until you collect 20 Enchanted Golem Heartstone.
Use an SoE. Around town hunt any Leto Lizardman until you collect 20 Leto Lizardman Charm.
Run to the Sea of Spores. Hunt Dire Wyrm until you collect 20 Dire Wyrm Fang.
Use an SoE and teleport to Giran. In the Fighters' Guild find Grand Master Hannavalt and talk to him.
In the Mystic Guild find Magister Iker, talk to him and receive Aklantoth Gem 1.
In the Dark Elf Guild find Magister Kaira, talk to her and receive Aklantoth Gem 2.
Talk to Magister Kaira in the Dark Elf Guild again and receive Kaira's Letter 1.
In the eastern part of town find Brother Metheus, talk to him and receive Metheus' Funeral Jar.
Teleport to Dion. In the magic shop find Trader Lara, talk to her and receive Lara's Memo 1.
Run to the Execution Grounds. Hunt Hangman Tree until you get Kasandra's Remains.
In the pit hunt Nameless Revenant until you get Aklantoth Gem 3.
Run to Giran. In the eastern part of town find Brother Metheus, talk to him and receive the Herbalism Textbook.
Teleport to Dion. In the Dark Elf Guild find Master Ixia, talk to her and receive Ixia's List.
Teleport via Gludio to Gludin. In the magic shop find Trader Nestle, talk to her and receive Nestle's Memo1.
At the southeastern exit of the village find Leopold, talk to him and receive Leopold's Journal1.
Teleport to the South Entrance to Wasteland and run along the road towards Floran. Off the road find Sir Aron Tanford, talk to him and receive the Old Knight Sword.
Run to the Wasteland. Hunt Tyrant and Tyrant Kingpin until you collect 10 Tyrant's Blood.
Hunt Skeletal Mercenary until you get Aklantoth Gem 4, Aklantoth Gem 5 and Aklantoth Gem 6.
Use an SoE and run to Cruma Tower. Hunt any Marsh Stakato until you collect 10 Nightshade Root.
Hunt Marsh Spider until you collect 10 Marsh Spider Fluids.
Use an SoE and run to the Execution Grounds. Hunt Dead Seeker until you collect 10 Dead Seeker Dung.
Run to Giran. Northeast of town hunt Medusa until you collect 10 Medusa's Ichor.
Use an SoE and run to the Death Pass. Find Shadow Orim and talk to him. Drevanul Prince Zeruel appears - kill him and receive Brimstone1.
Talk to Shadow Orim again and receive Orim's Instructions, Orim's Letter1 and Orim's Letter2.
Use an SoE and teleport to Dion. In the Dark Elf Guild find Master Ixia, talk to her and receive Belladonna.
Teleport to Giran. In the eastern part of town find Brother Metheus, talk to him and receive Alder's Skull1.
In the Dark Elf Guild find Magister Kaira, talk to her and receive Alder's Skull2.
Talk to Adler's Spirit.
In the Mystic Guild find Magister Roa, talk to her, choose <Even with you hands put on, the moon will shine> and receive Alder's Receipt.
Teleport via Dion and Gludio to Gludin. In the warehouse find Warehouse Keeper Norman, talk to him and receive the Revelations Manuscript.
Buy 100 Soulshot No Grade.
Next to the Fighters' Guild find Sir Klaus Vasper, talk to him and receive Sir Vasper's Letter.
Teleport to the South Entrance to Wasteland and run into the Wasteland. Hunt Skeleton Marauder and Skeleton Raider until the Spirit of Sir Herod appears. You must kill skeletons of both kinds. This is the only place on the route where you may have to kill up to 500 skeletons.
Kill the Spirit of Sir Herod with the Old Knight Sword and receive the Knights Tear.
Run to the South Entrance to Wasteland and further along the road towards Floran. Find Sir Aron Tanford and talk to him.
Use an SoE and teleport via Gludio to Dion. In the Dark Elf Guild find Sir Kiel Nighthawk and talk to him.
Run to the Execution Grounds. Hunt Ghoul and Strain until you collect 10 Torn Report Piece - they automatically turn into a Report.
Run to Giran. In the Dark Elf Guild find Magister Kaira, talk to her and receive Kaira's Recommendation.
Teleport to Dion. In the Dark Elf Guild find Sir Kiel Nighthawk, talk to him and receive the Orfic Mirror.
Run to the Execution Grounds. Hunt Hangman Tree until the Spirit of Sir Talianus appears.
Talk to the Spirit of Sir Talianus, then kill it and receive the Tear of Confession.
Use an SoE. In the Dark Elf Guild find Sir Kiel Nighthawk and talk to him.
Teleport via Gludio to the Dark Elf Village. In the main building find Tetrarch Thifiell, talk to him and receive Thifiell's Letter and Palus Charm.
Teleport to the Altar of Rites. Find Arkenia, talk to her and receive Arkenia's Note.
Find Bloody Pixy, talk to her and receive the Pixy Garnet.
Find Blight Treant, talk to it and receive the Blight Treant Seed.
Use an SoE and run to the Swampland. Hunt Black Willow Lurker until you get the Black Willow Leaf.
Use an SoE and teleport via Gludio and Dion to Giran. North of town hunt Breka Orc Overlord until you collect 10 Breka Overlord Skull.
Use an SoE and teleport to Hardin Academy. In the northeast hunt Grandis until you collect 10 Grandis's Skull.
Teleport to Hunter Village. On the square find Isael Silvershadow and talk to her.
Run west to the Plains of the Lizardmen. Hunt Leto Lizardman until you collect 20 Militas Article.
Use an SoE. In the northwest hunt Leto Lizardman Overlord until you collect 10 Leto Overlord Skull.
Use an SoE. In the church find Priest Vadin, talk to him and receive Vadin's Crucifix.
Teleport to Hunter Village. On the square find Isael Silvershadow, talk to her and receive the Tear of Loyalty.
Northeast of the village hunt Tamlin Orc and Tamlin Orc Archer until you collect 20 Tamlin Orc Amulet.
Northeast of the village hunt Karul Bugbear until you collect 10 Karul Bugbear Skull.
Use an SoE and teleport to Oren. In the church find Priest Vadin, talk to him and receive Vadin's Sanctions.
Teleport to Giran. In the church find Priest Dustin, talk to him and choose in turn <Ask about Athebaldt's death>, and .
Northwest of town hunt Breka Orc Overlord until you collect Sir Athebaldt's Skull, Sir Athebaldt's Ribs and Sir Athebaldt's Shin.
Use an SoE. In the church find Priest Dustin, talk to him and receive the Saints Ashes Urn.
In the Mystic Guild find Magister Iker, talk to him and receive Iker's Amulet and the Soultrap Crystal.
Teleport along the chain Dion - Gludio - Dark Elf Village - Altar of Rites. Find Bloody Pixy, talk to her and receive Red Fairy Dust.
Find Blight Treant, talk to it and receive Blight Treant Sap.
Find Arkenia, talk to her and receive Arkenia's Letter.
Use an SoE. In the main building find Tetrarch Thifiell, talk to him and receive the Mark of Fate.
Teleport to Gludin and from there to Talking Island. Run to the Obelisk of Victory. Find Sir Collin Windawood, talk to him and receive the Letter of Windawood.
Use an SoE and teleport to Gludin. Next to the Fighters' Guild find Sir Klaus Vasper, talk to him and receive the Sword of Binding.
Buy 500 Soulshot No Grade.
Teleport via Gludio to Dion and run to Floran. On the eastern shore of the lake find Fisherman Evert, talk to him and receive Brimstone2.
Drevanul Prince Zeruel appears - kill him with the Sword of Binding and receive the Purgatory Key and the Zeruel Bind Crystal.
Run to Dion, teleport to Giran and run to the Death Pass. Find Shadow Orim, talk to him and receive the Mark of Witchcraft.
Use an SoE. In the church find Priest Dustin, talk to him and receive the Letter of Dustin.
In the Fighters' Guild find Grand Master Hannavalt, talk to him and receive the Mark of Duty.
In the Dark Elf Guild find Grand Master Angus, talk to him and become a Shillien Knight. The quest is complete.

Route notes

Find - look up where the required NPC or monster is and run there.
Talk - choose the QUEST option and go through all the dialogues. If a dialogue offers several answers and the walkthrough does not name one, the choice does not matter (or the description is incomplete).
Class change - at the start of the conversation with the NPC choose INFORMATION ON CHANGE OCCUPATION instead of QUEST, then the desired profession in the second menu, then CHANGE OCCUPATION in the third.
Receive - only the item you are given is listed; the items taken from you are not mentioned.
Hunt until you collect N items - the drop chance of a quest item from some monsters is fairly low, but one item usually takes no more than 10 monsters (in some cases up to 30-50). If it takes longer, you will most likely have to restart the quest.
Travel - you do not have to use teleports; you can save money by walking. SoE is the Scroll of Escape. To know where an SoE takes you, C1 required the SoE Map patch, while in C2 you can use the /loc command. Either way, check in advance where to find the required NPCs so you do not end up looking for them in the wrong town.
