Test of Witchcraft - Mark of Witchcraft Quest

Test of Witchcraft is one of the three mark quests for the second profession. The Mark of Witchcraft is required for Dark Avenger (Human Knight), Necromancer (Human Wizard) and Shillien Knight (Palus Knight). The quest is available from level 39. A box holds the soul of the Dark Mage Aklantoth from the time of the Elmoreden Empire - to open it, you must solve his riddle. The stage titles in the table below come from the l2dc.ru database, which reflects the The Kamael (1st Throne) chronicle.

Requirements

• Level: 39.
• Class: Human Knight, Human Wizard or Palus Knight.
• Starting NPC: Shadow Orim (Orim of the Shadow), Death Pass near Giran.
• About 100,000 adena for teleports.
• Maps: Map: World.
• 20 Scrolls of Escape (just in case).
• A supply of Soulshots or Blessed Spiritshots.

Walkthrough

1. Teleport to Giran and run to Death Pass. Find Shadow Orim, talk to him and receive Orim's Diagram.
2. Use SoE. In the Luxury Shop (the crystal shop) find Trader Alexandria, talk to her and receive Alexandria's Book.
3. In the Wizard Guild find Magister Iker, talk to him and receive Iker's List.
4. Teleport to Oren, then to Ivory Tower. In the pit hunt Enchanted Stone Golem until you collect 20 Enchanted Golem Heartstone.
5. Use SoE. Around Oren hunt any Leto Lizardman until you collect 20 Leto Lizardman Charm.
6. Run to the Sea of Spores. Hunt Dire Wyrm until you collect 20 Dire Wyrm Fang.
7. Use SoE and teleport to Giran. In the Wizard Guild talk to Magister Iker and receive Aklantoth Gem 1.
8. In the Dark Elf Guild find Magister Kaira, talk to her and receive Aklantoth Gem 2.
9. Teleport to Dion. In the magic shop find Trader Lara, talk to her and receive Lara's Memo 1.
10. Run to the Execution Grounds. In the pit hunt Nameless Revenant until you get Aklantoth Gem 3.
11. Use SoE, teleport to Gludio, then to Gludin. In the magic shop find Trader Nestle, talk to her and receive Nestle's Memo1.
12. At the south-east exit of the village find Leopold, talk to him and receive Leopold's Journal1.
13. Teleport to the South Entrance to Wasteland and run into the Wasteland. Hunt Skeletal Mercenary until you get Aklantoth Gem 4, Aklantoth Gem 5 and Aklantoth Gem 6.
14. Use SoE, teleport to Dion, then to Giran and run to Death Pass. Talk to Shadow Orim - Drevanul Prince Zeruel appears. Kill him and receive Brimstone1.
15. Talk to Shadow Orim again and receive Orim's Instructions, Orim's Letter1 and Orim's Letter2.
16. Use SoE and teleport to Dion, Gludio and Gludin. Next to the Fighter Guild find Sir Klaus Vasper, talk to him and receive Sir Vasper's Letter.
17. Teleport to Gludio, Dion, Giran and Oren. In the church find Priest Vadin, talk to him and receive Vadin's Crucifix.
18. Teleport to Hunter Village. North-east of the village hunt Tamlin Orc and Tamlin Orc Archer until you collect 20 Tamlin Orc Amulet.
19. Use SoE and teleport to Oren. In the church talk to Priest Vadin and receive Vadin's Sanctions.
20. Teleport to Giran. In the Wizard Guild talk to Magister Iker and receive Iker's Amulet and the Soultrap Crystal.
21. Teleport to Dion, Gludio and Gludin. Next to the Fighter Guild talk to Sir Klaus Vasper and receive the Sword of Binding.
22. Buy 500 Soulshot No Grade.
23. Teleport to Gludio, then to Dion and run to Floran. On the east shore of the lake find Fisherman Evert, talk to him and receive Brimstone2.
24. Drevanul Prince Zeruel appears - kill him with the Sword of Binding and receive the Purgatory Key and the Zeruel Bind Crystal.
25. Run to Dion, teleport to Giran and run to Death Pass. Talk to Shadow Orim and receive the Mark of Witchcraft. The quest is complete.
