Second Profession: Silver Ranger

Elven Scout - Silver Ranger: all three marks in one pass

Silver Ranger is the second profession for the Elven Scout, available from level 40. To change class you need to collect three marks and then talk to the guild master. Below is a combined route that runs all three quests in parallel in one optimized pass. The next step is the third profession, Moonlight Sentinel.

Minimum requirements

  • Level 40.
  • About 300,000 adena for teleports.
  • World map (Map: World).
  • 40 Scrolls of Escape (just in case).
  • A stock of Soulshots.

Route

  1. Teleport to Giran.
  2. In the fighters' guild, find Master Dufner, talk to him and receive Dufner's Letter.
  3. Teleport to Dion.
  4. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive Terry's Orders.
  5. In the fighters' guild, find Master Cardien, talk to her and receive Cardien's Letter.
  6. Run to the Execution Grounds.
  7. Hunt Neer Ghoul Berserker until you get a Mysterious Runestone.
  8. Use SoE.
  9. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive a hunting license.
  10. Run to Partisan's Hideaway.
  11. Hunt Ol Mahum Captain until you get an Ol Mahum Runestone.
  12. Use SoE, teleport to Gludio, then to Elf Village.
  13. In the main building, find Hierarch Asterios, talk to him (choose any line) and receive Moonflower Charm and Tetrarch's Letter.
  14. Run south to Iris Lake.
  15. On the eastern shore of the lake, in the observatory, find Thalia, talk to her and receive Grail Diagram.
  16. Use SoE, teleport to Gludio and run to the Orc Barracks.
  17. Hunt Turek Orc Warlord until you get a Turek Runestone.
  18. Use SoE, teleport to Gludio, then to Dion and to Giran.
  19. In the smithy, find Blacksmith Pushkin, talk to him and receive Pushkin's List.
  20. North of the town, hunt Turak Bugbear Warrior until you get a Turak Bugbear Runestone.
  21. Use SoE and run to Death Pass.
  22. Hunt Wyrm until you get 20 Wyrm Talon.
  23. Hunt Guardian Basilisk until you get 10 Pure Mithril Ore.
  24. Use SoE and teleport to Hunter Village.
  25. In the building behind the gatekeeper, find Guild President Bernard, talk to him and receive Bernard's Introductory Letter.
  26. Teleport to Giran, then to Dion, and run to Floran.
  27. To the south, by the mill, find Sagittarius Hamil, talk to him and receive Letter of Hamil1.
  28. Run southwest along the road.
  29. Find Sir Aron Tanford and talk to him.
  30. Run to the Ant Nest.
  31. Hunt Ant Captain until you get an Ant Runestone.
  32. Hunt Ant Soldier until you collect 20 Ant Soldier Acid.
  33. Hunt various ants (Ant) until you collect 10 First Hunter's Rune.
  34. Use SoE and teleport to Dion.
  35. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive Terry's Box and Terry's Letter.
  36. Run to Floran.
  37. Find Sagittarius Hamil, talk to him and receive Letter of Hamil2.
  38. Run to Dion and teleport to Giran.
  39. In the smithy, find Blacksmith Pushkin, talk to him and receive Pure Mithril Cup.
  40. By the north gate, find Prefect Vokian and talk to him.
  41. Teleport to Hunter Village.
  42. In the weapon shop, find Trader Victor, talk to him, choose and receive Victor's Request.
  43. Teleport to Giran.
  44. North of the town, hunt Breka Orc Overlord and Breka Orc Shaman until you collect 10 Second Hunter's Rune. They automatically turn into a Talisman of Snake.
  45. Northeast of the town, hunt Medusa until you collect 10 Medusa's Scales.
  46. Use SoE.
  47. By the north gate, find Prefect Vokian and talk to him.
  48. Teleport to Hunter Village.
  49. Find Trader Victor, talk to him and receive Analysis Request and Silens Runestone.
  50. Teleport to Ivory Tower, then to the second floor of Ivory Tower.
  51. Find Magister Marina, talk to her, choose and receive Marina's Letter.
  52. Use SoE, teleport to Giran, then to Dion, and run to Floran.
  53. Find Sagittarius Hamil, talk to him and receive Letter of Hamil.
  54. Run to the Wasteland, use SoE and teleport to Dwarf Village.
  55. In the smithy, find Blacksmith Brunon, talk to him and receive Experiment Tool.
  56. Teleport to Gludin, then to Elf Village, and run south to Iris Lake.
  57. On the eastern shore of the lake, in the observatory, find Thalia, talk to her and receive Thalia's Letter 1.
  58. Use SoE, teleport to Gludio, then to Darkelf Village and to the Altar of Rites.
  59. Find Arkenia, talk to her and receive Arkenia's Contract and Arkenia's Instructions.
  60. Use SoE and teleport to Gludin.
  61. In the church, find Priest Adonius, talk to him and receive Adonius List.
  62. Teleport to Gludio and run to Cruma Tower.
  63. Hunt Marsh Spider until you collect 20 Spider Ichors.
  64. Use SoE and teleport to Giran.
  65. Northeast of the town, hunt Harpy until you collect 20 Harpy's Down.
  66. Use SoE, teleport to Oren, then to Ivory Tower and to the second floor of the tower.
  67. Find Magister Marina, talk to her and receive Analysis Results.
  68. Teleport to the third floor of the tower.
  69. Find Magister Gauen and talk to him.
  70. Teleport to the first floor of the tower.
  71. In the pit, hunt Manashen Gargoyle until you get Manashen's Horn.
  72. Use SoE, teleport to Giran and run to Death Pass.
  73. Hunt Road Scavenger until you get a Mithril Clip.
  74. Use SoE and teleport to Dion.
  75. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive List of Host.
  76. Run to the Ant Nest.
  77. Hunt Ant Warrior Captain until you get Abyss Runestone3.
  78. Use SoE and teleport to Gludin.
  79. In the church, find Priest Adonius, talk to him and receive Andariel's Scipture Copy.
  80. Teleport to Darkelf Village, then to the Altar of Rites.

  83. On the eastern shore of the lake, in the observatory, find Thalia, talk to her and receive Thalia's Letter 2.
  84. Use SoE.
  85. Buy 500 SoulShot: No Grade and 50 Wooden Arrow.
  86. Teleport to Gludio and run to Cruma Tower.
  87. Hunt Marsh Stakato Drone until you get Abyss Runestone1.
  88. Hunt Marsh Spider until you get St Bowstring.
  89. Hunt Marsh Staccato Worker until you get Staccato's Chitin.
  90. Use SoE and teleport to Giran.
  91. Northeast of the town, hunt Breka Orc Overlord until you get Abyss Runestone2.
  92. Use SoE and teleport to Hunter Village.
  93. In the square, find Isael Silvershadow, talk to her and receive Isael's Instructions.
  94. Teleport to Oren, then to Ivory Tower and to the third floor of Ivory Tower.
  95. Find Magister Gauen, talk to him and receive Crescent Moon Bow and 10 Wooden Arrows.
  96. Use SoE, teleport to Giran, then to Dion, and run to Floran.
  97. Find Sagittarius Hamil and talk to him.
  98. Run to the Wasteland, use SoE and teleport to Dion, then to Giran and Oren.
  99. West of the town, hunt Leto Lizardman Warrior until you get Abyss Runestone4.
  100. Northwest of the town, hunt Leto Lizardman Shaman and Leto Lizardman Overlord until you collect Talin's Spear Blade, Talin's Spear Shaft, Talin's Spear Aquamarine, Talin's Spear Peridot, Talin's Spear Amethyst and Talin's Spear Ruby.
  101. West and northwest of the town, hunt any Leto Lizardman until Demon Kadesh appears. Kill the demon with the Crescent Moon Bow.
  102. Use SoE and teleport to Hunter Village.
  103. In the square, find Isael Silvershadow, talk to her and receive Talin's Spear and Isael's Letter.
  104. Teleport to Giran, then to Dion, Gludio and Elf Village. Run south to Iris Lake.
  105. On the eastern shore of the lake, in the observatory, find Thalia, talk to her and receive Grail of Purity.
  106. South of the observatory, find Unicorn of Eva, kill it with Talin's Spear and receive Tears of the Unicorn.
  107. Return to Thalia, talk to her and receive Water of Life.
  108. Use SoE.
  109. In the main building, find Hierarch Asterios, talk to him and receive Camomile Charm.
  110. Teleport to Gludio, then to Dion, and run to Floran.
  111. Find Sagittarius Hamil, talk to him and receive Mark of Sagittarius.
  112. Run to Dion.
  113. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive Terry's Report.
  114. In the fighters' guild, find Master Cardien, talk to her and receive Mark of Life.
  115. Teleport to Giran.
  116. In the fighters' guild, find Master Dufner, talk to him and receive Mark of Seeker.
  117. In the fighters' guild, find Grand Master Hannavalt, talk to him and become a Silver Ranger. Quest complete.

Walkthrough tips

  • Find - first check where the NPC stands or where the monsters live, then run there.
  • Talk - choose QUEST in the dialogue and go through all the lines. If there is a choice and the description does not say which line to pick, it does not matter (or the description is incomplete).
  • Class change - when talking to the master, choose INFORMATION ON CHANGE OCCUPATION instead of QUEST, then the desired profession, then CHANGE OCCUPATION.
  • Receive - the item you get is listed; the items taken from you are not.
  • Hunt until you collect - the drop chance for quest items is sometimes low, but usually no more than 10 monsters per item are needed (in some cases up to 30-50). If it takes far more, you will most likely have to restart the quest.
  • Travel - teleports are optional; you can save money by walking. SoE is the Scroll of Escape. To know where SoE will take you, C1 needs the SoE Map patch, while in C2 you can use the /loc command. In any case, check where to look for NPCs so you don't end up searching for them in the wrong town.
