KF2 Elysium: How to Unlock the Botanica and Lore Master Arenas

This guide explains how to unlock and enter the Botanica and Lore Master arenas on Killing Floor 2's Elysium map. During the event it was written for, doing so completed the weekly challenge and gave some Vault cash. The author found it hard to work out alone and used the KF2 wiki's Elysium page. Endless mode is best, because it gives more time and rounds to do what is required. In Endless you enter a random arena every odd-numbered round.

Botanica Arena

1. Keep playing until you reach the Forest Arena, the one with wooden cabins in a forest.
2. Before killing the last ZED, find 3 frozen roses:
   • one in an outhouse toilet;
   • one in a garden near the caverns;
   • one next to a dog house (kennel).
3. Wait to be teleported back to the Elysium arena, then put the roses in the coloured vases around the center of the map.

Botanica is now open, but it will not necessarily be your next arena; arena choice is still random. Keep playing until you reach the arena with the large tree in the middle.

Lore Master Arena

1. Keep playing the Elysium arena until you get the Desert Arena, the one covered in sand.
2. Before killing the last ZED, find all 4 tomes, which look like glowing red books:
   • one at the spawn location;
   • one in a pool;
   • one in a cave;
   • one at the top of the ramp on the left.
3. Wait to be teleported back to Elysium. Go to the pedestals, place all 4 tomes and pull the lever at the door. The game says "The Lore Master Knows!".

You must keep playing until the Lore Master arena comes up, because arenas are still random. You will know it when you see the huge giant corpse in the middle of the arena.

Doing both

It is possible to do both in the same Endless match; it is a matter of luck and skill to stay alive. Bringing friends helps, because teamwork lets you survive longer.
