KF2: Test DLC Weapons for Free with Console Cheats

If you are curious about Killing Floor 2 DLC weapons before buying them, this community trick lets you try them for the session in a cheat enabled offline game. It does not unlock anything permanently and gives no experience.

Steps

  1. Pick any map, preferably an open one such as Skyline or a test map.

  2. After starting the first wave, pause with Esc, open the console (the tilde key, above Tab) and type enableCheats. This enables cheats and disables stats, so you gain no experience. Play offline so you do not get into trouble.

  3. Type a perk keyword to receive that perk's weapons:

    • sharpshooter: every Sharpshooter weapon
    • swat: every SWAT weapon
    • berserk: Berserker weapons
    • dualies: every Gunslinger weapon

    You will be given all of them, so cycle through or drop the others to use the DLC gun.

  4. That is all. You can use the DLC guns for this session only; repeat after every game.

DLC guns the author tried

  • Mosin Nagant: a Sharpshooter bolt-action rifle, shown in the original from the player's and other players' view with stats.
  • Riot Shield and Glock 18: the SWAT riot shield and pistol.

  • dualies: Gunslinger

FAQ

Do I need to be offline for this?
Yes. The guide advises playing in offline mode so you do not get in trouble, since cheats disable stats and give no experience.
What command gives all weapons of a perk?
Type a perk keyword in the console after enabling cheats: sharpshooter, swat, berserk, dualies, assault, medic, shotty, demo or firebug.
Do the weapons persist between games?
No. You have to redo the steps after every game.
