KF2 Black Main Menu After the Intro: 5 Fixes
A short Russian community fix list for a common Killing Floor 2 problem: after the Georgia intro you should see the main menu, but instead there is a black screen with music playing. Try these in order.
Solution 1: wait
The menu may be loading. Wait around 5 minutes, which may be more or less depending on the PC.
Solution 2: run windowed
- Open Properties for Killing Floor 2 in Steam.
- In the General tab, enter
-windowedin Launch options.
Solution 3: DirectX 10 option
Repeat the steps above and enter -dx10 in the launch options. It is unlikely to help, but it has helped some players.
Solution 4: verify or reinstall
If none of this helped, verify the integrity of the game files, or reinstall the game.
