KF2 D.Va Voice Mod: Features, Install and Uninstall

This page paraphrases a community guide for a fan-made sound mod. It swaps the voice lines of the playable character Rae for those of D.Va, the gamer mech pilot from Overwatch. The mod was published as a guide because a Workshop release was not possible at that time. It was in beta at first, then left beta at version 1.0, and reached version 1.5 in January 2018.

Features

• Replaces Rae's Australian voice with a Korean one.
• She cheers the team on to keep morale up.
• A critical-health line plays when health drops to 25 percent.
• She says her ultimate line once the player is powerful.
• Almost all voice lines and almost all command voices were replaced.
• The "Go to the Trader" command works differently: D.Va now cheers other players (the author noted this might change).

Installing

The replacing way

Extract the mod's files into:

Steam\SteamApps\common\killingfloor2\KFGame\BrewedPC\WwiseAudio\Windows\English(US)

Then play and hear the new lines. The author was working on a backup so you would not have to verify the game cache and lose other mods that replace game files.

The adding way

This does not overwrite vanilla sound files. Extract the files into:

Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\published\BrewedPC\WwiseAudio\Windows\English(US)

If those folders do not exist, create them and add the files.

Uninstalling

• Adding way: go to the folder where you placed the files and delete them.
• Replacing way: verify the game cache in Steam. This is not recommended if other mods replace files; the author was preparing a backup.

Notes and plans

The mod is a beta-era fan project and the author did not own Overwatch, so access to its audio was limited; new lines from the Sombra update were requested from other players. A Soldier 76 voice was listed as upcoming. The original download was hosted on a file-sharing service and is not reproduced here.
