KF2 Improved Ukrainian Translation: What It Covers and How to Install

This is a description of a community-made improved Ukrainian translation for Killing Floor 2, written in Ukrainian by its author. It replaces the game's Ukrainian localization files. The same Localization folder trick is used to change voices in the voice language guide.

What changed

• The incorrectly displayed menus were fixed and fully translated.
• New game modes (such as multiplayer, endless and in-game missions) were translated.
• All maps, loading screens and monster names were translated.
• Perks received a fully consistent translation with current values, including the latest update at the time.
• Daily objectives and weekly outbreaks were translated.

Update of 13 November 2019

• The new in-game missions mode was translated.
• New maps and descriptions of the new boss, the Matriarch, were added.
• Objectives of the Winter 2019-2020 event were translated.
• Perk values were updated to the latest update at the time.
• Some weapons were translated selectively.
• Various fixes and improvements.

Still in progress

• The biographies of the new characters.
• A complete translation of weapons and their descriptions.
• The names of accessories for most characters.

Installation

1. Download the three files from the link given in the original guide (a Google Drive link).
2. Replace the files in \SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\killingfloor2\KFGame\Localization\UKR with the downloaded ones. Keep a copy of the originals first.

Freshness

The files on the link are updated periodically during events, and the author notes the upload date: first uploaded on 28 March 2019 and last updated on 13 November 2019. Because the game has had updates since, some newer text will remain untranslated.
