KF2 Easy Berserker: Crovel to Eviscerator and Smash Skill
Some players complain that the Berserker is weak. This short community guide argues otherwise with a simple plan built around the Eviscerator. Berserker guides with different approaches on this site include KF2 Berserker build and Berserker parry lock on Fleshpound and Scrake.
The plan
- In the first two rounds use only the Crovel and do not buy anything from the trader.
- At round 3, depending on what you found on the ground, you may be able to buy the Eviscerator. If not, get a Pulverizer or a Zweihander for one round only, then sell it before round 4.
- After buying the Eviscerator, equip the level 20 skill Smash if you have reached level 20. With it, the thrown saw discs are treated as heavy attacks and do massive damage. For example, two headshots kill a Fleshpound on Hell on Earth when playing solo.
- Deal with lesser ZEDs one by one using the chainsaw or bash attacks, or throw saw discs at lined-up groups. Bigger ZEDs (Bloats, Sirens, Husks, Scrakes and Fleshpounds) die easily to headshots with thrown saws. The boss is handled the same way: more saws.
The author acknowledges that those who prefer the Pulverizer with parrying can keep doing so.
FAQ
- What should a Berserker do in the first rounds?
- Use only the Crovel for the first two rounds and buy nothing from the trader in the meantime, saving dosh for the Eviscerator.
- Which Berserker skill makes the Eviscerator so strong?
- The level 20 skill Smash. It makes the thrown saw disc count as a heavy attack, so, for example, two headshots with it can kill a Hell on Earth Fleshpound when playing solo.
- What if I cannot afford the Eviscerator by round 3?
- Buy a Pulverizer or a Zweihander for a single round only and sell it before round 4, then buy the Eviscerator.
