KF2 Hell on Earth Endless: Medic Build with Incision and Missile

This is a Russian-language community guide, translated and paraphrased here, from a player who reached around wave 150 in solo Endless on Hell on Earth and tested wave 250 with cheats. It argues for an unusual choice: Field Medic with a sniper-style loadout. The writing is blunt and opinionated, so treat the numbers as the author's experience.

Why Medic

Endless mode title: Hell on Earth Hell on Earth, Endless mode.

The author calls Medic the class with the most survivability, more than Berserker or Survivalist. It can dive into the thick of the fight and, thanks to the always-ready syringe, climb out of near death and get hit again. It also has big damage that bosses feel.

Berserker and Survivalist have strong resistance but rely on melee, so they take damage constantly and their HP trends to zero. Berserker gets resistance from its passive, the level 15 skill and parrying. Survivalist resists the Boom flash and has decent resistance overall. By wave 100 the perks and syringe no longer carry them, and a crowd of Fleshpounds keeps hitting from behind. Neither may survive the King Fleshpound or the Abomination; resistance does not help if there is no HP left.

Sharpshooter survives through high damage per second and the fastest movement relative to headless Zeds (55% faster), so it can outrun a Fleshpound without sprinting, but when squeezed in a tight spot by a Bloat, Siren or Husk it has trouble. If there is no HP, speed does not help either.

Weapons

Medic weapons are buffed by Medic perks and clear the map well.

HRG Incision is a sniper rifle for large targets. Its darts can also pin down small Zeds that run at you in solo. One shot at a Scrake or Mini-Fleshpound makes them convulse and die, which also suits bosses.

HRG Medic Missile helps Incision clear masses of trash: Clots, Sirens, Bloats, Fleshpounds, and it kills Elite Zeds comfortably. It does decent damage to bosses. The author does not recommend using it as a heal, since the syringe already does that.

Why not the RPG-7? To kill a Fleshpound with one rocket you need the Demolitionist perk, and a Demolitionist would die anyway. The Medic Missile does the job without needing that much damage, and the RPG-7 weighs two more blocks, which is better spent elsewhere.

Map: Elysium

Ammo is the usual worry on Hell on Earth since ammo boxes are rare and none of the weapons are melee. On Elysium, the author says ammo is never short, and the chance for supply boxes is the same as elsewhere. The cycle of spacious arenas and a handy trader keeps the run lively.

Avoiding pins

Clots, Stalkers, Crawlers and Elites can pin you against a wall or circle you. To avoid that, do not sit in a defensive spot. Keep moving; on Hell on Earth you cannot hold one place the way you could on Normal. Keep checking behind you (mostly Zeds) and keep the path ahead wide, open and visible. If you meet a Scrake, a single Incision shot lets you ignore it. The author notes that if the Medic level 5 perk had not been nerfed, this section would not exist. Pins are partly luck, and these tips only reduce the odds.

Bosses

Boss base HP does not rise; wave 20 and wave 250 bosses have the same HP. Their shields and armor grow until they become almost impenetrable.

  • Patriarch: either kill him quickly through his children in phase one, or approach carefully. The author prefers the careful way.
  • Hans Volter: an easy wave. Do not try to break the shield; let him grab you and finish him then.
  • Matriarch: she has a weak point so you do not need to knock off her hat. Her shield does not grow, so it is easy to break, but watch for the Elites that spawn, since they can pin you. After her armor is off, ignore them.
  • Abomination: the author found weak points that avoid shooting the head: the hands (the right one is convenient) and the knees. Shooting legs is easier. If she stands right next to you or sucks you in, hit the arm.
  • King Fleshpound: the sturdiest boss, with tiny HP but a huge shield. Testing wave 250 with cheats, a full Incision magazine took off only about 2-3% of the shield. The author eventually killed him but it took over 20 minutes. Tips:
    • Move crouch to right mouse button for comfort.
    • Empty the Incision and the missile launcher first, then run for ammo.
    • Run clockwise so you are not pressed against a bad spot.
    • Watch your footing: climbing on Elysium decor lets the laser hit you; stay under three tiles high.
    • Do not bother with grenades, they vanish and you still need ammo.

Final words

The author says that after wave 250 both boss and normal waves can still be played, proving the game can in principle be won. He plans a 30-40 hour attempt, probably over three days.

Bonus: you can kill a boss without shots, explosions, fire or knives by jumping on him, and it is the fastest way.

FAQ

Why Medic for Endless?
The author argues Medic has better survivability than Berserker or Survivalist: the syringe heals constantly, so he can enter the thick of the fight and recover from near death, while the other classes depend on melee and keep taking damage.
Why Elysium?
Its cycle of spacious arenas and a convenient trader mean you rarely run short of ammo, and ammo supply chance is no worse than elsewhere.
