KF2 Biolapse Blender and Trap Door Objectives: How to Get 20 Kills

This guide covers two spring 2020 seasonal objectives on the Biolapse map: killing 20 ZEDs with the blender hazard ("Blender Blunder") and 20 with the trap doors. The author uses a quick offline setup, an EMP grenade trick for the blender and careful positioning for the trap. For the other map hazards see objective mode wave objectives.

Blender setup

  1. Open the console with F3 or the tilde key. (A commenter notes that on some keyboard layouts, such as UK or Japanese, the key is @.)
  2. Type Open KF-Biolapse?Difficulty=0?Gamelength=0 and press Enter. This is Normal difficulty, Short length. The restart command starts a new session with the same settings.
  3. Select Berserker.
  4. After spawning, check the trader distance. If it is around 285 m and the arrow points upward, you are at the Blender start. If not, reopen the map and try again.
  5. Full buy five EMP grenades. No weapon is needed.

Getting the kills

  • Do not bash and do not attack; only EMP grenades are used. Be careful, because you can fall into the blender yourself.
  • Gather ZEDs by circling the area, then move to the spot at the edge of the blender passage and crouch there without getting pushed off.

  • When ZEDs are attacking you, throw an EMP grenade at your feet and wait for it to explode.
  • Once the ZEDs panic, jump over and avoid them. Do not bash, just evade, and watch them fall into the blender.

  • Move away and repeat until you reach 20 kills. If one game is not enough, restart and do it again.

Trap door

  • Start the same way. The trader should read about 687 m. Credit for the information goes to FALSIExd.
  • Go to the area below the stairs, wait for ZEDs and gather them together.
  • Press the button when the trap doors are ready. Only ZEDs standing on the exact trap position count, so do not let others fall in, because they will not trigger the objective.
  • The doors stay open for 10 seconds. Cooldown after closing was about 1 minute 25 seconds.
  • Loiter around the area, come back and repeat.

Community notes

  • Some players found the kills semi-broken: not all deaths count, and ZEDs are sometimes flung against the opposite wall instead of falling into the blades.
  • One commenter said there are two buttons next to the blender spot that raise a platform for dumping ZEDs, and that every ZED falling into the trap door holes counted for them.
  • The console command getall kfgamereplicationinfo nexttrader was used to check which area you spawned in (8 for the blender and 0 for the trap door level).
  • Another commenter used Steam Achievement Manager to set both counters to 19 and then got the final kill in game. This modifies your stats and is not endorsed here.
