Why does bashing with an empty C4 punch?

Normally the bash key swings the weapon you hold. With C4 you have nothing physical to swing once it is thrown and the ammo is gone, so the character uses bare fists instead.

KF2 Empty C4 Punch Trick: Bash With Bare Fists

This is a tiny joke trick rather than a tactic. In Killing Floor 2 the weapon bash normally hits with the item in your hands, but if the item is C4 and you have none left, you get a punch instead.

Steps

Play normally and buy C4 from the trader.
Use up all of the C4 and never pick up C4 ammo.
Press your weapon bash key. With no C4 in stock you punch instead of bashing with the explosive.
Optional: have fun with it.

Notes

It does nothing for damage compared to a proper melee weapon, so treat it as a novelty.
