KF2 Medic RPG-7 Trick: Heal Yourself with the Missile

This short community guide, titled "Become an indestructible berserker", describes a cheeky build: a Medic RPG-7 plus a melee weapon of your choice. The author claims it lets the Berserker act as a substitute Medic. It is a fun trick rather than a standard strategy, but the self-heal technique is useful to know.

The build

  1. Get dosh.
  2. Buy a melee weapon of your choice. Any will do, but for maximum healing the author suggests the Hemoclobber.
  3. Buy the Medic RPG-7.

Healing yourself

When low on health you can use the syringe or do this: aim about 30 degrees downward in front of you and fire the medic missile. Done right, you gain health from the explosion.

To get the full heal, jump, and while mid-air aim down and slightly in front so the missile has enough time to arm. You can also fire at walls and creep closer to learn the arming distance; firing close to a wall also heals you.

If you botch it, the author says, pray that the Fleshpound or Scrake chasing you shows mercy.

Damage

The Medic RPG-7 is also good against Fleshpounds and Quarter Pounds (Mini-Fleshpounds): usually two shots at most on Hell on Earth, rarely three if you do not aim at the center of mass.

Which perk

You can do this with any perk, but Dreadnought Berserker gives the most health, and with armor added you are nearly indestructible. With the Hemoclobber plus RPG-7 Berserker style you can stand in for a Medic.

Community comments

Readers called it "based" and wanted to try it. One pointed out that it is better at max level, since you need XP and the setup does not level well early on, though it is still worth trying.
