Objective tips
Escort. Learn Perimeter Control with your team: every player holds one angle and keeps it clear of ZEDs, like soldiers advancing and checking sectors. You do not need to stare at an empty direction, but keeping your sector clear is your job. The simplest layout for four players is to split ahead, left, right and behind the drone, add one Medic who keeps them alive, and one player dedicated to heavy ZEDs (Scrake, Fleshpound).
- Medic is the only role without a fixed perimeter. Heal, help fight, but track the whole team.
- Berserker, Gunslinger and Sharpshooter watch for heavies and react to callouts. With experience you learn when to leave a Scrake or Fleshpound to a teammate and switch targets.
Weld and repair. Up to two Supports shine here, as long as they do not crowd each other. Splitting into two teams of three speeds things up.
Transport. Bring at least one Gunslinger with Quick Draw (the guide cites up to a 20 percent passive speed bonus plus 5 percent from the skill) and a Medic with Adrenaline Shot (10 to 30 percent faster) firing Assault Rifle darts at the carrier constantly, even at full health. For gear, the author suggests an HMTech-101 pistol and a Spitfire, since both carry a lot of ammo and weigh little (1 and 2, total 3), keeping you fast.
Operate and control. Let the Medic camp at the control panel and press the key now and then. From there he sees the team and can heal. Avoid shooting large ZEDs from there, as they might focus on you.
Defend the area. Nothing special: secure your perimeters.
Extermination. Whatever works against bosses works here, and since you know which boss will appear you can pick a specific loadout. The author notes that stats-wise everyone could go Firebug with Helios rifles, but has no experience with that.
