KF2 Damage Calculator: Community Web Tool Explained

The Killing Floor 2 Damage Calculator is a free web application written by a community member. It lets you pick a perk and a perk level and immediately see what damage your weapons will deal in game, then compare it with ZED health. The Steam guide points to newer versions of the site, so treat the tool itself as the source of truth.

About the tool

  • It runs in the browser and is hosted through GitHub Pages. It works on PC and on mobile devices, resizing to fit the screen.
  • On a desktop you switch perks with the left sidebar; on a phone there are navigation buttons at the top of the page.
  • At the time of the guide the author was rebuilding it as a more modern and maintainable version at a new address, and the guide links to the latest version.
  • The source code is public on GitHub, where bugs and feature requests can be reported.

How to use it

  1. Select the perk you are playing and its level. The table updates immediately and the columns show what the numbers mean in game.
  2. Every perk page has a ZED HP table below the perk table. Choose the difficulty you play on and the number of players in the lobby to see matching ZED health.
  3. Compare the damage numbers from the first table to the ZED health values to estimate shots needed.
  4. Use the "more info" button under the ZED table and under most perk classes to learn how to read the damage numbers.
  5. Hover over a ZED row to see its vulnerabilities and resistances.

Data source

All values, formulas and information come from the community KF2 spreadsheet, which has a direct link in the navigation bar of the site. The author said that the core functionality was complete and the remaining work was polish.
