Orc First Class Change: Orc Raider, Monk, Orc Shaman

Level 20 quests for Orc Fighter and Orc Mystic

Orcs get their first profession at level 20: an Orc Fighter chooses between Orc Raider and Monk, an Orc Mystic becomes an Orc Shaman. The quest can be taken from level 19. All three quests start in Orc Village and end in Gludin, where High Prefect Osborn grants the profession. The quest descriptions from the database reflect Chronicle 4: Scions of Destiny.

Before you start

  • What to bring: adena for teleports, Map: World, 10 SoE just in case, a supply of Soulshots (fighters) or Blessed Spiritshots (shaman).
  • "Talk to" means: choose QUEST in the dialogue and click through all the lines. If the dialogue offers a choice that the route does not mention, the choice does not matter (or the description is incomplete).
  • To get the profession, choose INFORMATION ON CHANGE OCCUPATION instead of QUEST when talking to the NPC, then the desired profession in the second menu and CHANGE OCCUPATION in the third.
  • The routes list what you receive, not which items are taken away.
  • Quest items can drop rarely, but usually no more than 10 monsters per item (in some cases up to 30-50). If it takes much longer, you will have to restart the quest.
  • Teleports are optional - you can save money by walking.

Orc Raider

Quest Path to an Orc Raider (Orc Fighter). Started by Prefect Karukia in Orc Village. You must prove your courage by destroying the goblins and their ratman helpers, and your loyalty by killing traitors to the tribe.

The author's route for this quest carries the same warning as the Monk route: only fist weapons (Viper Fangs, Fox Claws, etc.) are allowed, and you can also fight bare-handed. The quest text in the database does not mention such a restriction for the Orc Raider.

  1. Teleport to Orc Village. Talk to Prefect Karukia and receive Goblin Dwelling Map.
  2. North-east of the village (Northern Immortal Plateau) hunt Goblin Tomb Raider Leader until you collect 30 Green Blood.
  3. A Kuruka Ratman Leader will appear. Kill it and receive Kuruka Ratman Tooth.
  4. Repeat the previous two steps until you collect 10 Kuruka Ratman Tooth.
  5. Use an SoE. Talk to Prefect Karukia and receive Betrayer Report. It names one type of traitor orc from this list: Heitafu, Bumbum, Picubo, Umbar, Chewba, Zakan, Wanuk, Chichi, Minsku, Sue.
  6. Hunt the orcs named in the Betrayer Report until you get 2 Head of Betrayer.
  7. Teleport to Gludin. Talk to Prefect Kasman and receive Mark of Raider.
  8. Talk to High Prefect Osborn and become an Orc Raider.

Reward: Mark of Raider - the token for changing class to Orc Raider.

Monk

Quest Path to a Monk (Orc Fighter). Started by Gantaki Zu Urutu in Orc Village. A Monk must receive scrolls from two masters of the orc martial art. Warning: only one weapon type is allowed in this quest - fist weapons (Viper Fangs, Fox Claws, etc.), and you can also fight bare-handed. The quest text phrases this as "only blunt-type weapons".

  1. Teleport to Orc Village. Talk to Gantaki Zu Urutu and receive Pomegranate Gift.
  2. Teleport to the Frozen Waterfalls. Talk to Khavatari Rosheek and receive Leather Pouch1.
  3. West of the waterfall hunt Kasha Bear until you collect 5 Kasha Bear Claw.
  4. The pouch turns into Full Leather Pouch1.
  5. Talk to Khavatari Rosheek and receive Leather Pouch2.
  6. South-east of the waterfall hunt Kasha Blade Spider until you collect 5 Kasha Blade Spider Talon.
  7. The pouch turns into Full Leather Pouch2.
  8. Talk to Khavatari Rosheek and receive Leather Pouch3.
  9. Run to the Cave of Trials and hunt Scarlet Salamander until you collect 5 Scarlet Salamander Scale.
  10. The pouch turns into Full Leather Pouch3.
  11. Use an SoE and teleport to the Frozen Waterfalls. Talk to Khavatari Rosheek and receive Fiery Spirit Scroll and Rosheek's Letter.
  12. Use an SoE. Talk to Gantaki Zu Urutu and receive Gantaki's Letter of Recommendation.
  13. Teleport to Gludin. Talk to Prefect Kasman and receive Fig Gift.
  14. Teleport to the Fellmere Harvest Grounds. Find Khavatari Toruku (according to the quest text, near the fork in the road in the northern part of the Gludin area), talk to him and receive Leather Purse.
  15. Hunt Ratman Warrior until you collect 3 Ratman Warrior Fang.
  16. Hunt Felim Lizardman Warrior until you collect 3 Felim Lizardman Warrior Tooth.
  17. Use an SoE and teleport to the Langk Lizardman Camp. Hunt Langk Lizardman Warrior until you collect 3 Langk Lizardman Warrior Tooth.
  18. Hunt Vuku Orc Fighter (according to the quest text, on Windmill Hill) until you collect 3 Vuku Orc Fighter Tusk.
  19. The purse turns into Full Leather Purse.
  20. Use an SoE and teleport to the Fellmere Harvest Grounds. Talk to Khavatari Toruku and receive Iron Will Scroll and Toruku's Letter.
  21. Use an SoE. Talk to Prefect Kasman and receive Khavatari Totem.
  22. Talk to High Prefect Osborn and become a Monk.

Reward: Khavatari Totem - the token for changing class to Monk.

Orc Shaman

Quest Path to an Orc Shaman (Orc Mystic). Started by Tataru Zu Hestui in Orc Village. A Shaman must master the "language of fire" to speak with spirits, and then learn the names of 99 spirits.

  1. Teleport to Orc Village. Talk to Tataru Zu Hestui.
  2. North of the village hunt Kasha Bear until you get Kasha Bear Pelt.
  3. Teleport to the Frozen Waterfall. South-east of the waterfall hunt Kasha Blade Spider until you get Kasha Blade Spider Husk.
  4. Run to the Cave of Trials and hunt Scarlet Salamander until you get Fiery Egg.
  5. Use an SoE. Talk to Tataru Zu Hestui and receive Hestui Mask.
  6. Find Hestui Totem Spirit (according to the quest text, in the southern ruins of the Temple of Paagrio), talk to it and receive Totem Spirit Claw.
  7. Talk to Tataru Zu Hestui and receive Tataru's Letter of Recommendation.
  8. Teleport to Gludin. Talk to Seer Umos.
  9. Teleport to the Fellmere Harvest Grounds and hunt Grizzly Bear until you get 3 Grizly Blood.
  10. Use an SoE and teleport to Gludin. Talk to Seer Umos and receive Blood Cauldron.
  11. North-west of the town (north of the arena) find Duda-Mara Totem Spirit, talk to it and receive Totem Spirit Net.
  12. Use an SoE. South-east of the village (according to the quest text, in the Fellmere Harvest Grounds) hunt Poison Spider and Arachnid Tracker until you collect about 10 Durka Parasite.
  13. A Durka Spirit will appear - kill it and receive Bound Durka Spirit.
  14. Use an SoE. Talk to Duda-Mara Totem Spirit and receive Totem Spirit Blood.
  15. Use an SoE. Talk to Seer Umos and receive Mask of Medium.
  16. Talk to High Prefect Osborn and become an Orc Shaman.

Reward: Mask of Medium - the token for changing class to Orc Shaman.
