Second Profession: Hawkeye

Human Rogue - Hawkeye: all three marks in one pass

Hawkeye is the second profession for the Human Rogue, available from level 40. To change class you need to collect three marks and then talk to the guild master. Below is a combined route that runs all three quests in parallel in one optimized pass. The next step is the third profession, Sagittarius.

Minimum requirements

  • Level 40.
  • About 300,000 adena for teleports.
  • World map (Map: World).
  • 40 Scrolls of Escape (just in case).
  • A stock of Soulshots.

Route

  1. Teleport to Oren.
  2. In the church, find High Priest Hollint and receive Letter to Elf and Letter to Darkelf.
  3. Teleport to Giran.
  4. In the fighters' guild, find Master Dufner, talk to him and receive Dufner's Letter.
  5. Teleport to Dion.
  6. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive Terry's Orders.
  7. Run to the Execution Grounds.
  8. Hunt Neer Ghoul Berserker until you get Mysterious Runestone.
  9. Use SoE.
  10. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive a hunting license.
  11. Run to Partisan's Hideaway.
  12. Hunt Ol Mahum Captain until you get Ol Mahum Runestone.
  13. Use SoE, teleport to Gludio, then to Elf Village.
  14. In the main building, find Hierarch Asterios, talk to him and receive Order of Asterios.
  15. Run southwest.
  16. Hunt Dryad and Dryad Elder until Actea of Verdant Wilds appears. Kill her and receive Seed of Verdure.
  17. Run further southwest.
  18. Hunt Lirein and Lirein Elder until Luell of Zephyr Winds appears. Kill her and receive Breath of Winds.
  19. Use SoE.
  20. Find Hierarch Asterios, talk to him and receive Scroll of Elf Trust.
  21. Teleport to Gludio, then to Darkelf Village.
  22. In the main building, find Tetrarch Thifiell, talk to him and receive Letter of Thifiell.
  23. Teleport to the Altar of Rites and run to the Orc Barracks.
  24. Hunt Turek Orc Warlord until you get Turek Orc Runestone.
  25. Use SoE, teleport to Gludio, then to Dion.
  26. In the dark elf guild, find Magister Clayton, talk to him and receive Order of Clayton.
  27. Teleport to Giran.
  28. North of the town, hunt Turak Bugbear Warrior until you get Turak Bugbear Runestone.
  29. Use SoE and teleport to Hunter Village.
  30. In the building behind the gatekeeper, find Guild President Bernard, talk to him and receive Bernard's Introductory Letter.
  31. Teleport to Giran and run to Death Pass.
  32. Hunt Guardian Basilisk until you collect 10 Blood of Guardian Basilisk. They automatically turn into Basilisk Plasma.
  33. Use SoE, teleport to Dion and run to Floran.
  34. To the south, by the mill, find Sagittarius Hamil, talk to him and receive Letter of Hamil1.
  35. Run southwest along the road.
  36. Find Sir Aron Tanford and talk to him.
  37. Run to the Ant Nest.
  38. Hunt Ant Captain until you get Ant Runestone.
  39. Hunt various Ants until you collect 10 First Hunter's Rune.
  40. Hunt Ant Recruit, Ant Patrol, Ant Solider, Ant Guard and Ant Warrior Captain until you collect 10 Giant Aphid. They automatically turn into Honey Dew.
  41. Use SoE and run to Cruma Tower.
  42. Hunt any Marsh Stakato until you collect 10 Stakatos Fluid. They automatically turn into Stakato Ichor.
  43. Use SoE.
  44. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive Terry's Box and Terry's Letter.
  45. Find Magister Clayton and talk to him.
  46. Run to Floran.
  47. Find Sagittarius Hamil, talk to him and receive Letter of Hamil2.
  48. Run to the Wasteland, use SoE and teleport to Darkelf Village.
  49. Find Tetrarch Thifiell, talk to him and receive Scroll of Darkelf Trust.
  50. Teleport to Gludio, then to Dion and Giran.
  51. By the north gate, find Prefect Vokian and talk to him.
  52. Teleport to Hunter Village.
  53. In the weapon shop, find Trader Victor, talk to him, choose and receive Victor's Request.
  54. Teleport to Giran.
  55. North of the town, hunt Breka Orc Overlord and Breka Orc Shaman until you collect 10 Second Hunter's Rune. They automatically turn into Talisman of Snake.
  56. Northeast of the town, hunt Medusa until you collect 10 Medusa's Scales.
  57. Use SoE.
  58. By the north gate, find Prefect Vokian and talk to him.
  59. Teleport to Hunter Village.
  60. Find Trader Victor, talk to him and receive Analysis Request and Silens Runestone.
  61. Teleport to Ivory Tower, then to the tower's second floor.
  62. Find Magister Marina, talk to her, choose and receive Marina's Letter.
  63. Use SoE.
  64. In the church, find High Priest Hollint, talk to him and receive Letter to Seresin.
  65. Near the church, find Cardinal Seresin and receive Letter to Orc and Letter to Dwarf.
  66. Teleport to Giran, then to Dion, and run to Floran.
  67. Find Sagittarius Hamil, talk to him and receive Letter of Hamil.
  68. Run to the Wasteland, use SoE and teleport to Orc Village.
  69. On the second floor of the main building, find Flame Lord Kakai, talk to him and receive Letter to Manakia.
  70. Teleport to Gludin, then to Gludio, Dion and Giran.
  71. By the north gate, find Seer Manakia and talk to her.
  72. Teleport to Hardin Academy and run northwest.
  73. Hunt Windsus until you collect 10 Lota's Parasite.
  74. Use SoE.
  75. Find Seer Manakia, talk to her and receive Letter of Manakia.
  76. Teleport to Dion, then to Gludio and Orc Village.
  77. Find Flame Lord Kakai, talk to him and receive Scroll of Orc Trust.
  78. Teleport to Gludin, then to Dwarf Village.
  79. In the smithy, find Blacksmith Brunon, talk to him and receive Experiment Tool.
  80. Find Iron Gate's Lockirin and talk to him.
  81. Teleport to Gludin, then to Gludio, and run to Cruma Tower.
  82. Near the tower, find Maestro Nikola, talk to him and receive Order of Nikola.
  83. Teleport to the first floor of Cruma Tower.
  84. Hunt Porta until you collect 10 Heart of Porta.
  85. Return to Maestro Nikola and talk to him.
  86. Use SoE, teleport to Giran, then to Oren, to Ivory Tower and to the tower's second floor.
  87. Find Magister Marina, talk to her and receive Analysis Results.
  88. Teleport to the tower's third floor.
  89. Find Magister Gauen and talk to him.
  90. Teleport to the tower's first floor.
  91. In the pit, hunt Manashen Gargoyle until you get Manashen's Horn.
  92. Use SoE, teleport to Giran and run to Death Pass.
  93. Hunt Road Scavenger until you get Mithril Clip.
  94. Use SoE and teleport to Dion.
  95. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive List of Host.
  96. Run to the Ant Nest.
  97. Hunt Ant Warrior Captain until you get Abyss Runestone3.
  98. Use SoE and teleport to Dwarf Village.
  99. Find Iron Gate's Lockirin, talk to him and receive Scroll of Dwarf Trust.
  100. Buy 500 SoulShot: No Grade and 50 Wooden Arrow.
  101. Teleport to Gludio and run to Cruma Tower.
  102. Hunt Marsh Stakato Drone until you get Abyss Runestone1.
  103. Hunt Marsh Spider until you get St Bowstring.
  104. Hunt Marsh Staccato Worker until you get Staccato's Chitin.
  105. Use SoE and teleport to Giran.
  106. Northeast of the town, hunt Breka Orc Overlord until you get Abyss Runestone2.
  107. Use SoE, teleport to Oren, then to Ivory Tower and to the tower's third floor.
  108. Find Magister Gauen, talk to him and receive Crescent Moon Bow and 10 Wooden Arrows.
  109. Use SoE.
  110. Find High Priest Hollint, talk to him and receive Recommendation of Hollint.
  111. Teleport to Giran, then to Dion, and run to Floran.
  112. Find Sagittarius Hamil and talk to him.
  113. Run to the Wasteland, use SoE, teleport to Gludin, then to Talking Island.
  114. In the church, find High Priest Biotin, talk to him and receive Mark of Trust.
  115. Teleport to Gludin, then to Gludio, Dion, Giran and Oren.
  116. West of the town, hunt Leto Lizardman Warrior until you get Abyss Runestone4.
  117. West and northwest of the town, hunt any Leto Lizardman until Demon Kadesh appears. Kill the demon with the Crescent Moon Bow.
  118. Use SoE, teleport to Giran, then to Dion, and run to Floran.
  119. Find Sagittarius Hamil, talk to him and receive Mark of Sagittarius.
  120. Run to Dion.
  121. In the fighters' guild, find Master Terry, talk to him and receive Terry's Report.
  122. Teleport to Giran.
  123. In the fighters' guild, find Master Dufner, talk to him and receive Mark of Seeker.
  124. In the fighters' guild, find Grand Master Hannavalt, talk to him and become a Hawkeye. Quest complete.

Walkthrough tips

  • Find - first check where the NPC stands or where the monsters live, then run there.
  • Talk - choose QUEST in the dialogue and go through all the lines. If there is a choice and the description does not say which line to pick, it does not matter (or the description is incomplete).
  • Class change - when talking to the master, choose INFORMATION ON CHANGE OCCUPATION instead of QUEST, then the desired profession, then CHANGE OCCUPATION.
  • Receive - the item you get is listed; the items taken from you are not.
  • Hunt until you collect - the drop chance for quest items is sometimes low, but usually no more than 10 monsters per item are needed (in some cases up to 30-50). If it takes far more, you will most likely have to restart the quest.
  • Travel - teleports are optional; you can save money by walking. SoE is the Scroll of Escape. To know where SoE will take you, C1 needs the SoE Map patch, while in C2 you can use the /loc command. In any case, check where to look for NPCs so you don't end up searching for them in the wrong town.
