Second Profession: Overlord

Orc Shaman -> Overlord: all three marks in one pass

At level 40 an Orc Shaman can change profession to Overlord, and the next step after that is the third profession, Dominator. The change requires three marks, and below all three quests are combined into one optimized route. The author of the original walkthrough warned that the quest descriptions may contain inaccuracies.

Minimum requirements

  • Level 40.
  • Money for teleports (about 300,000 adena).
  • The spells Frost Flame and Blazing Quake (Dreaming Spirit and Slow are also recommended).
  • Map: Elmore and Map: World.
  • 20 Scroll of Escape (SoE), just in case.
  • A supply of Soulshot and Blessed Spiritshot.

Route

  1. Teleport to Giran. At the north gate find Prefect Vokian, talk to him and get Vokian's Order.
  2. Run to Death Pass. Hunt Guardian Basilisk until you collect 10 Guardian Basilisk Fang.
  3. Use SoE, teleport to Oren, then to Ivory Tower. In the pit hunt Manashen Gargoyle until you collect 10 Manashen Shard.
  4. Use SoE and teleport along the chain Giran - Dion - Gludio. Run to Orc Barracks. North of the road to the ranch find Hermit Santiago, talk to him and get Voucher of Trial.
  5. Use SoE and teleport to Orc Village. In the main building find Seer Tanapi and talk to him.
  6. Run to the Cave of Trials. On the bridge drop into the water on the right, turn right at the fork and run to the very end. Find Ancestor Martankus and talk to him.
  7. Use SoE and teleport to Gludin. Run to the Forgotten Temple: from the entrance go right and down, then through 4-5 halls and turn left. Hunt Lava Salamander until you get Essence of Flame.
  8. Use SoE and teleport to South Entrance to Wasteland. Run into the Wasteland. Hunt Tyrant and Tyrant Kingpin until you collect 10 Tyrant Talon.
  9. Use SoE and teleport to Orc Village. Run to the Cave of Trials, find Ancestor Martankus, talk to him and get Spirit of Flame.
  10. Use SoE. In the main building find Flame Lord Kakai, talk to him and get Ordeal Necklace.
  11. In the main building find Urutu Chief Hatos, talk to him and get Hato's Charm.
  12. In the main building find Neruga Chief Tantus, talk to him and get Tantu's Charm.
  13. In the main building find Atuba Chief Varkees, talk to him and get Varkee's Charm.
  14. In the weapon shop find Trader Jakal, talk to him, choose <Pay 1,000a> and get Neruga Axe Blade. Buy 1000 Bone Arrow there as well.
  15. In the forge find Blacksmith Sumari, talk to him and get Sumari's Letter.
  16. In the main building find Neruga Chief Tantus, talk to him and get Axe of Ceremony.
  17. Teleport to Gludin, then to Dwarf Village. Find Gauri Twinklerock and talk to him.
  18. Find Priest of Earth Gerald, talk to her and choose <Refuse to pay 100.000a>.
  19. Find Wanderer Dorff, talk to him and get Grey Badge.
  20. Teleport along the chain Gludin - Gludio - Dion. Find Gandi Chief Chianta, talk to him and get Chianta's Charm.
  21. Find Seer Somak, talk to him and get Urutu Blade.
  22. Teleport to Giran. At the north gate find Prefect Vokian, talk to him and get Necklace of Authority and Vokian's Order 2.
  23. Teleport to Dion. Find Gandi Chief Chianta, talk to him and get Chiantas Order1.
  24. Teleport to Giran. In the church find Priest Prim and talk to him.
  25. At the north gate find Seer Manakia, talk to him and get Manakia's Letter and Manakia's Letter2.
  26. Talk to Seer Manakia once more and get Tantus Charm.
  27. Northeast of the town hunt Breka Orc Shaman and Breka Orc Overlord until you collect 20 Breka Orc Fang.
  28. Northeast of the town find Breka Chief Voltar, talk to him and get Glove of Voltar.
  29. Vultus son of Voltar and Pashinka son of Voltar appear. Kill both and get Vultus Head and Pashinka Head.
  30. Return to Breka Chief Voltar, talk to him and get Scepter of Breka.
  31. Use SoE and teleport to Oren. Find Dudamara Chief Takuna, talk to him and get Takuna's Charm.
  32. Teleport to Giran, then to Giran Harbor. Run to the road triangle. On the seashore find Enku Chief Kepra, talk to him and get Glove of Kepra.
  33. Enku Orc Shaman and Enku Orc Champion appear, led by Enku Orc Overlord. Kill all the guards first, then Enku Orc Overlord, and get Enku Orc Overlord Head.
  34. Return to Enku Chief Kepra, talk to him and get Scepter of Enku.
  35. Use SoE, run to Dion, teleport to Gludio, then to Gludin. In the eastern part of the village find Prefect Kasman, talk to him, choose and get Kasman's Letter1.
  36. Talk to Prefect Kasman again, choose and get Kasman's Letter2.
  37. Talk to Prefect Kasman once more, choose and get Kasman's Letter3.
  38. Teleport to Talking Island. In the church find Priest Petron, talk to him and get Paint of Nahir.
  39. Run to the Elven Ruins. Find Nahir and hit him with Wind Strike, Vampiric Touch and Ice Bolt until you get Hair of Nahir.
  40. Use SoE. In the church find Priest Petron, talk to him and get Statue of Einhasad.
  41. Teleport to Gludin, then to Elf Village. Find Andellia and talk to her.
  42. Run to the waterfall near the Swampland. Hunt Black Willow until you get Debris of Willow.
  43. Nearby find Uruha, talk to her and get Book of Darkness.
  44. Return to Elf Village. Talk to Andellia and choose .
  45. Teleport to Gludin, then to South Entrance to Wasteland. To the east, on the sandy shore, find Leunt Chief Harak, talk to him and get Scepter of Tunath.
  46. Run into the Wasteland. Find Wiseman Casian, talk to him and get Book of Sage.
  47. Use SoE and run to Orc Barracks. At the ranch find Hermit Santiago, talk to him and get Mark of Pilgrim.
  48. In the center of the camp by the big stones find Turek Chief Burai, talk to him and get Glove of Burai.
  49. 2 Makum Bugbear Warrior appear. Kill them and get 2 Makum Bugbear Head.
  50. Return to Turek Chief Burai, talk to him and get Scepter of Turek.
  51. Use SoE and teleport to Gludio. Due east of the town, across the river, find Vuku Chief Driko, talk to him and get Driko's Contract.
  52. Run to Cruma Tower. In the northwestern part of the marshes hunt Marsh Spider until you collect 10 Marsh Spider Feeler and 10 Marsh Spider Feet.
  53. Hunt Marsh Stakato Drone until you collect 30 Stakato Drone Husk1.
  54. Return to Vuku Chief Driko, talk to him and get Scepter of Vuku.
  55. Run to Dion. Find Gandi Chief Chianta, talk to him and get Chiantas Order3.
  56. Teleport to Giran, then to Hunter Village. Northeast of the village hunt Tamlin Orc and Tamlin Orc Archer until you collect 20 Tamlin Orc Skull.
  57. Use SoE and teleport to Oren. In the surrounding area hunt any Timak Orc until you collect 20 Timak Orc Head.
  58. Keep hunting Timak Orc there until you collect 10 Timak Orc Skull.
  59. Use SoE and teleport to Ivory Tower. In the pit hunt Enchanted Monster Eye until you collect 20 Cornea of Enchanted Monster Eye.
  60. Use SoE. Find Dudamara Chief Takuna, talk to him and get Handiwork Spider Brooch.
  61. Teleport to Giran. At the north gate find Seer Manakia, talk to him and get Manakia's Amulet.
  62. Teleport to Dion. Find Gandi Chief Chianta and talk to him.
  63. Talk to Gandi Chief Chianta once more and get Monster Eye Woodcarving.
  64. Teleport to Gludio, then to Orc Village. In the main building find Urutu Chief Hatos, talk to him and get Sword Into Skull.
  65. In the main building find Atuba Chief Varkees, talk to him and get Huge Orc Fang.
  66. In the main building find Flame Lord Kakai, talk to him and get Bear Fang Necklace.
  67. On the 1st floor of the main building find Seer Tanapi, talk to him and get Tanapi's Order1.
  68. Run to the Cave of Trials. On the bridge drop into the water on the right, turn right at the fork and run to the very end. Find Ancestor Martankus, talk to him and get Martanku's Charm.
  69. Run to the entrance of the Cave of Trials. In the surrounding area hunt Ragna Orc Seer and Ragna Orc Overlord until you get Ragna Orc Head and Ragna Chief Notice.
  70. Keep hunting Ragna Orc Seer and Ragna Orc Overlord near the cave until Revenant of Tantos Chief appears.
  71. Kill Revenant of Tantos Chief and get Scepter of Tantos.
  72. Return to Ancestor Martankus, talk to him and get Immortal Flame.
  73. Use SoE. On the 1st floor of the main building find Seer Tanapi, talk to him and get Ceremonial Box.
  74. On the 2nd floor of the main building find Flame Lord Kakai, talk to him and get Mark of Glory.
  75. Talk to Flame Lord Kakai again and get Mark of Lord.
  76. Teleport along the chain Gludin - Gludio - Dion - Giran. At the north gate find High Prefect Penatus, talk to him and become an Overlord. The quest is complete.

Route notes

  • Find - check where the NPC or monster is located and run there.
  • Talk - choose the Quest option and go through all the dialogues. If a dialogue asks you to pick an answer, the step names it; if it does not, the choice does not matter (or the description is incomplete).
  • Changing profession - at the start of the conversation with the NPC choose Information on change occupation instead of Quest, then the desired profession and Change occupation.
  • Get - the step names the item you receive; it does not list the items taken from you.
  • Hunt until you collect - some quest items have a low drop chance, but usually one item takes no more than 10 monsters (in some cases up to 30-50). If it takes much longer, you will most likely have to restart the quest.
  • Travel - teleports are optional; you can save money by walking. SoE is the Scroll of Escape. To know where SoE will take you, C1 needs the SoE Map patch, while in C2 you can use the /loc command. Either way, check in advance where to find the NPCs you need so you do not end up searching for them in the wrong town.
