Third Profession: Healers and Buffers

Cardinal, Hierophant, Eva's Saint, Shillien Saint, Dominator, Doomcryer

Third profession quests for healers and buffers: Bishop, Prophet, Elder, Shillien Elder and the Orc Overlord and Warcryer. The Human and Elven quests are almost identical: the character checks whether the Saint of Light who appeared in Goddard is genuine and finally defeats the fallen angel Tanakia. The class can be changed at level 76; the common quest structure and the full class list are in Third Profession: Succession to the Legend Quests. The data reflects the Chronicle 4: Scions of Destiny knowledge base.

At steps 11 and 12 you pick one side: the Divine Stone of Wisdom comes either from the Ketra Orcs or from the Varka Silenos - you don't need to do both.

Cardinal (Bishop)

Start NPC: High Priest Hollint (Oren Castle Town). Hollint asks you to verify whether the one claiming to be the Saint of Light in Goddard Castle Town is authentic.

  1. Meet the Saint of Light. Hollint says the Saint of Light has appeared in Goddard Castle Town. Meet her and verify that she is actually the legendary saint.
  2. Searching for Duncan. Agnes asks you to visit Chef Duncan in the hot springs area and bring her some food.
  3. Return with the Ice Crystals. Duncan needs ice crystals to keep the food fresh.
  4. Return to Agnes. When you deliver the crystals, Duncan hands you a well-packed jar of food. Take it to Agnes.
  5. Go to the Tablet of Vision. Saint of Light Agnes gives you the Stone of Commune and sends you to the Tablet of Vision.
  6. In Search of the Second Stone of Commune. According to the first tablet, you will meet someone with the Stone of Commune near the next tablet.
  7. Towards the Tablet of Vision. With the second stone, commune with the tablet.
  8. In Search of the Third Stone of Commune. At the second tablet you saw who has the stone near the third tablet. To find him, commune with the third tablet.
  9. Towards the Tablet of Vision. With the third stone, commune with the tablet.
  10. Meet Bastian. The third tablet showed that Priest Bastian of Goddard Castle Town has a Stone of Commune. Get it from him.
  11. In Search of Ketra Orcs. Bastian tells you to gain the trust of Ketra's Messenger Wahkan and get the Divine Stone of Wisdom.
  12. In Search of Varka Silenos. Or gain the trust of Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk and get the Divine Stone of Wisdom from him.
  13. Towards the Tablet of Vision. A new Stone of Commune is made from the Divine Stone of Wisdom. Commune with the tablet.
  14. Meet Bastian. The location of the next stone isn't revealed, but you briefly see Priest Bastian waving goodbye. He may know something - speak with him again.
  15. Searching for the Stone of Commune. Bastian explains that north of the fork is the Shrine of the Loyal and east is the Imperial Tomb. The Archon of Halisha has the fifth stone.
  16. Towards the Tablet of Vision. With the fifth stone, commune with the tablet.
  17. In Search of the Last Stone of Commune. You feel the last stone is near the tablet. Go to the tablet first.
  18. Towards the Last Tablet of Vision. You defeated the fallen angel Tanakia and took his Stone of Commune. Perform the last communion.
  19. Finishing the Journey. The long journey is over. Report your accomplishments to High Priest Hollint in Oren Castle Town.
  20. Finishing the Journey. Train some more before returning to Hollint. Only characters of level 76 or above can change their occupation to Cardinal; don't abandon the quest until the class transfer is complete.

Hierophant (Prophet)

Dominator (Overlord)

Start NPC: Grand Seer Rahorakti. "If an Overlord is a King, then what is a King but one who seizes the authority to rule?"

  1. The Pilgrimage Begins. The King's successors have disappeared! One of them, Wahkan, has been found at the Ketra Orc Outpost. Why did he meet the Hierarch of the betrayer Orcs? Meet Ketra's Messenger Wahkan and find out what happened.
  2. Find the Legendary Dish. Wahkan will tell you where Akkan is if you bring him some bitter cold vodka, the nectar of the Orcs. Master Chef Donath knows how to make it.
  3. Searching for Ingredients. Donath needs ice crystals for the vodka - you can get them by doing what Chef Jeremy asks.
  4. Completed Dish. Donath makes the bitter cold vodka - slightly lower quality than the real stuff, he says, but good enough. Take it to Ketra's Messenger Wahkan.
  5. The First Communion. Akkan is on the pilgrimage of the king. With the Stone of Commune you received, track him down: commune with the Tablet of Vision just south of the Tower of Insolence (Part 1).
  6. Guardians of the Stone of Commune. The Guardians of Forbidden Knowledge near the tablet have the second Stone of Commune - destroy them and take it.
  7. The Second Communion. Commune with the second tablet (Part 2).
  8. Meaning of King. The Overlord of the Gandi Tribe waits for you at the third tablet - but he is no longer an Overlord. Read all you can about him and get ready for a vicious battle. Monster: Overlord Atrus.
  9. The Third Communion. You defeated Atrus and took the Stone of Commune. His obsession with control made him accept the blood of a ruler: he was no king, but a mere usurper. Commune with the third tablet (Part 3).
  10. A Time to Choose. Seer Skahi (Priest Skahi) in Goddard Castle Town has the fourth stone.
  11. Joining the Ketras. Gain the trust of the Ketra Orcs through their messenger Wahkan to get the Divine Stone of Wisdom.
  12. Joining the Varka Silenos. Or prove yourself to the Varka Silenos messenger Naran Ashanuk.
  13. The Fourth Communion. Commune with the fourth tablet (Part 4).
  14. Meet Skahi. As predicted, the fifth stone is in Seer Skahi's hands - ask him about it.
  15. Halisha's Minions. The Archon of Halisha has the fifth stone. Lure him out in the Shrine of the Loyal or attack him inside the Imperial Tomb. Monsters: Shrine of the Loyal - Grave Scarab, Scavenger Scarab, Grave Ant, Scavenger Ant, Shrine Knight, Shrine Guard, Archon of Halisha; Imperial Tomb - Archon of Halisha. At the fork, the east road leads to the Imperial Tomb and the north road to the Shrine of the Loyal.
  16. The Fifth Communion. The fifth tablet is in the northwestern corner of the Wall of Argos (Part 5).
  17. The Devil's Hand. During the fifth communion you see an image of an old ruler. He ruled his people with an iron fist and never showed them the slightest compassion; he was a tyrant, not a king - no better than a drunken prince. He waits beside the sixth tablet. Monster: Death Lord Hallate.
  18. The Sixth Communion. Successor of Flame Akkan says he doesn't want to be that kind of king and hands over the Stone of Commune. Perform the sixth communion (Part 6).
  19. Position of King. A King must straddle the border between responsibility and power; if the line is crossed, the nation will be shaken. Firmly keeping his position is the role of a King. Return to Grand Seer Rahorakti and talk about what you learned on this trip.
  20. Preparation for Occupation Change. Train until level 76, then return to Grand Seer Rahorakti.

Doomcryer (Warcryer)

Start NPC: Grand Seer Rahorakti. "The warnings of the ancestors echo down through the centuries. You must gather many more noble souls if you're to survive!"

  1. The Pilgrimage Begins. Seer Tarkai Zu Duda-Mara left to prepare for the eternal winter and left a message for his successor to go to the Duda-Mara Totem Spirit. Go there.
  2. Find the Legendary Dish. If you want real power, the totem spirit orders you to bring it bitter cold vodka. Master Chef Donath in Goddard can make it.
  3. Searching for Ingredients. Donath needs ice crystals for the vodka - you can get them by doing what Chef Jeremy asks.

  9. The Third Communion. You defeated Mudaha and took the Stone of Commune. His obsession with power was his downfall: instead of seeking help from the spirits of the ancestors, he tried to control them and use their power at his whim. Commune with the third tablet while meditating on the meaning of control and power (Part 3).
  10. A Time to Choose. Seer Skahi (Priest Skahi) in Goddard Castle Town has the fourth stone.
  11. Joining the Ketras. Gain the trust of the Ketra Orcs through their messenger Wahkan to get the Divine Stone of Wisdom.
  12. Joining the Varka Silenos. Or prove yourself to the Varka Silenos messenger Naran Ashanuk.
  13. The Fourth Communion. Commune with the fourth tablet (Part 4).
  14. Meeting Skahi Again. Seer Skahi has the fifth stone - ask him about it.
  15. Halisha's Minions. The Archon of Halisha has the fifth stone. Lure him out in the Shrine of the Loyal or attack him inside the Imperial Tomb.   17. The Devil's Hand. Sharuhi, escaped from Mudaha, is thrashing about as if refusing to become a spirit again. To prepare for the eternal winter you must gather as many spirits as possible! Listen to Tarkai and speak with it. Monster: Lizard's Totem Sharuhi (Lizard's Totem Spirit Sharuhi).
  18. The Sixth Communion. After you vanquish Sharuhi, Tarkai commends you, gives you the Stone of Commune and leaves. Perform the sixth communion with it (Part 6).
  19. Great Flame. Handling ancestors, souls and spirits is the job of a Warcryer. Understanding a mind matters more than memorizing spells and techniques; their power is needed to survive the eternal winter. Return to Grand Seer Rahorakti with Tarkai's message.
  20. Preparation for Occupation Change. You don't yet have the skill to apply what you learned. See Grand Seer Rahorakti once you reach level 76.
