KF2 Secret Weapon: Unlock Hans' Dual MKb42 in Private Matches

This guide shows how to get Hans Volter's dual MKb42 weapons for yourself in a Killing Floor 2 private match. It uses console cheats, so progress is not saved.

How to unlock

1. Go to any map and spawn in.
2. Open the console (the guide uses the semicolon key).
3. Type enablecheats, then type mkb.

Be aware that this disables achievements and perk leveling (EXP). See also console commands list.

About the boss weapon

The MKb42 weighs 6 kg, neither very light nor heavy.

Pros:

• Infinite ammo.
• No reload.
• High rate of fire, comparable to the Kriss submachine gun.

Cons:

• The worst full-auto accuracy in the game.
• The weakest bullet damage in the game (each bullet is about 3 times weaker than a Stoner LMG bullet).
• The highest recoil in the game, well above the Medic Assault Rifle.
• You cannot bash with them despite the attached knife.

High recoil, poor accuracy and low damage make the dual MKb42 imprecise: it compensates with rate of fire, infinite ammo and no reloads.

The weapon is invisible in the trader menu's weapon inventory. Outside the trader menu the icon shows an AK-12. Like the Stoner LMG it is best at killing trash ZEDs but not high-tier ones. Commando is the most fitting perk, although the Survivalist can shoot in real time during Zed Time with this weapon and Commando somehow cannot.

The picture on Farmhouse is taken from Hans' view and shows how it should look; in your own view you will not see the dual weapons sticking out like that.
