KF2 Fast XP and Prestige Farm: Weekly Boss Rush Map Method

Prestige in Killing Floor 2 is a long grind for cosmetic rewards. This guide describes a community method that uses a custom boss rush map and a quick reset loop to level perks and prestige much faster, with no cheats in the strict sense (hence the "kinda" in the original title). Why prestige at all

Prestige gives no meaningful gameplay edge. The rewards are cosmetic:

• A unique icon showing how many times you reset the perk (up to five).
• A decent skin for each tier of that perk's weapons.
• 2 million dosh, about four vault crates.

The author would not spend hours prestiging only for cosmetics, but if you enjoy the grind this is the quickest known way.

How to farm XP fast

1. Install the custom map. Use a modded map made for fast XP farming (the author's video shows where to place it) and move it to the designated game folder.
2. Pick the map offline. Launch the game, choose Play Solo Offline and select the new map.
3. Choose Weekly Boss Rush and press Play.
4. Use the arena trick. You start in a trader room with several pre-placed weapons that help kill bosses faster; you can also sell them for dosh toward better weapons. When the round begins, leave the trader room and go to the central arena. Bosses spawn in waves and cannot hurt you except with certain ranged attacks. Stand on the side walls and shoot through the opening, which keeps the bosses from attacking you.

The reset loop

The first boss wave dies in under 5 seconds (depending on your perk's starting weapon). Do not play the later waves. Instead press F3 to open the console and type restartlevel; this instantly returns you to the start of the wave. Copy and paste the command each time to save effort.

Later waves have much more boss health, which makes them slower to kill, so resetting after wave one maximizes XP per minute.

Hidden weapon spawns

Many of the pre-spawned weapons may seem missing. This is probably a bug: their textures were lost over time, but they are still there and can be picked up, just invisible. Drop your weak starting weapons and grab these (exception: the Firebug, whose starting weapon and Molotov already kill bosses in under 3 seconds). Combined with the reset loop, the author says this makes the grind almost four times faster. The exact locations are in the author's video.

The method is simple, effective and less boring than the normal way. Use it if you have little time or just want prestige quickly.
