Trial of the Challenger - Mark of Challenger Quest
The challenger's mark for the second class transfer
Trial of the Challenger rewards the Mark of Challenger, one of the three marks required for the second class transfer. Gladiator, Warlord, Swordsinger, Bladedancer, Destroyer and Tyrant need this mark. For the full list of marks per profession, see Second Class Transfer Marks.

Requirements
- Level: 35 (per the database); the route author recommends level 36.
- First profession: Warrior, Elven Knight, Palus Knight, Orc Raider, Orc Monk.
- Starting NPC: Kash in Dion, opposite the warehouse entrance.
- About 100,000 adena for teleports.
- Map: Map: World.
- 20 SoE just in case, and a supply of SoulShots.
Walkthrough
- Teleport to Dion. Find Kash opposite the warehouse entrance and talk to him.
- Teleport to Gludio, then to Elf Village and on to the Neutral Zone. Run to the waterfall in the Dark Elf area. In the cave under the waterfall, kill the Cave Basilisk bodyguards and Shyslassys herself to get the Broken Key. A Chest of Shyslassys appears - talk to it, choose and receive the Scroll of Shyslassy.
- Use SoE, teleport to Gludio, then to Dion. Talk to Kash opposite the warehouse and receive the Letter of Kash.
- Teleport to Giran. Find Martien by the northern bridge and talk to him.
- Teleport to Giran Harbor. Run west to the triangle of roads, then keep going west over the hill. In the cave under the hill, kill the Cave Basilisk bodyguards and Gorr herself to get Watchers Eye1.
- Use SoE, run to Dion and teleport to Giran. Talk to Martien by the northern bridge again.
- Teleport to Giran Harbor and run west to the triangle of roads. Find the cave entrance on the eastern side of the triangle. In the cave under the hill, first kill the Cave Basilisk bodyguards, then Baraham, to get Watchers Eye2.
- Raldo appears - talk to him. If Raldo does not appear, keep killing Cave Basilisks until Baraham spawns again, then kill him too. Repeat until Raldo shows up.
- Use SoE, run to Dion, teleport to Gludio, then to Dwarf Village. Find Gray Pillar's Filaur and talk to him.
- Teleport to the Entrance to Mithril Mines. Run all the way down to a huge round cave, descend to its bottom and exit into an enormous cavern (there is a second exit, but if you take it by mistake you will still end up in the round cave). Climb up out of the enormous cavern and follow the bridges to an underground island. Kill the bodyguard first, then the Queen of Succubus.
- Raldo appears - talk to him and receive the Mark of Challenger. If Raldo does not appear, kill the bodyguard and the Queen of Succubus again until he does.
Occasionally the Queen of Succubus and her bodyguard fall off the island into the water. If that happens, jump after them, kill them, then run back through the enormous cavern to the island.
