KF2 Favorite Weapon Voice Lines, Boss Index Bind and Skip Intro
Two small quick-reference guides by the same kind of player (one titled "Nothing special", the other a favourite-weapons cheat sheet) are merged here: what a character's favourite weapon actually does, a note on target priority by class, and two handy console tricks, skipping the intro movies and reading the boss index. The favourite weapon lists themselves are on KF2 characters' favorite weapons by class.
What a favourite weapon does
Every Killing Floor 2 character has favourite weapons, but they change nothing about gameplay: holding one only unlocks special voice lines that are hidden by default. The data in both guides was taken from the official KF2 wiki and turned into a quick hint sheet that you can open with the Steam overlay (Shift+F2) in the middle of a match or while waiting in the lobby. A community comment noted that D.A.R. appears to have special voice lines for dual 1858 revolvers; other commenters pointed out that some DLC characters and the E.D.A.R. units are not covered.
Target priority by perk
The "Nothing special" guide also contains a tab with target priority per perk (with a Commando healer / tank / damage-dealer breakdown, a Berserker "knight and crucifier" breakdown and a Support one), presented as weapon icons. The author warns that it is not the current meta, only a refresher for newcomers or returning players. Perk role advice is better found in the Commando guide and perk pages.
Skip the intro movies
Set the Steam library launch option for the game to:
-nostartupmovies
Read the boss index
Open the console and use this command to see which boss will spawn this match:
getall KFGameReplicationInfo BossIndex
The index means: 0 Hans, then Patriarch, King Fleshpound, Abomination and Matriarch in that order. To make it a one-key command, bind it, for example to the key 0:
setbind zero getall KFGameReplicationInfo BossIndex
