Ukrainian Localization for Killing Floor 2 (2024): Install Guide

This is a full community Ukrainian translation of Killing Floor 2 as of January 2024, translated from scratch from English by TabMising (YanSerge). It covers all gear, perks, weapons, the interface, events, skills, monsters, bosses, items and the store. The author invites donations through his Steam profile. For a Russian-language equivalent see the improved Russian localization.

Weapon name abbreviations

  • HMTech (Horzine Medic Tech) becomes MM-H (Med-Modification Horzine).
  • HRG (Horzine Research Group) becomes DG-H (Research Group Horzine).
  • Barrett M99: AMR (Anti-Materiel Rifle) is rendered as VSG (large-caliber sniper rifle).

Installation

  1. Go to the game folder, for example D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor2\KFGame\Localization\UKR.
  2. Download the translation files from the author's Google Drive link (see the original guide).
  3. Copy them into the UKR folder, replacing the existing ones.

The translation should work on other platforms too, as long as the game's folders are the same.

Update dates

The translation was updated on 05.11.2023, 10.11.2023, 12.11.2023, 13.11.2023, 15.11.2023, 17.01.2024 and 23.01.2024.

Game update notes in the translation: the Hans Volter season ended. Balance changes listed:

  • Firebug, Firestorm: increased range of the flamethrower, Microwave Gun and the other flame weapons; ground fire burns 20% longer.
  • Support, Armor Piercing Shot: significantly increases penetration and adds 5 to 10% damage with perk weapons.
  • SWAT, Assault Armor: maximum armor increased by 50%; you start with 50% armor, which stacks with Heavy Armor Training, and begin each wave with an extra 50% armor.

The full change list is in the official Steam news post linked in the original guide. On 23.01.2024 typos were fixed and capital letters in Settings, the Main Menu and Events were changed to lowercase.
