Goddess of Destruction: Tauti
Light and Dark castles, the Ceremony of Chaos and the Seed of Hellfire
Goddess of Destruction Chapter 2 - Tauti is the second chapter of Goddess of Destruction. It split the castles into Light and Dark ones, added the Ceremony of Chaos clan PvP, a new raid zone with the boss Tauti, Helios weapons with PvP/PvE specialization and Seed Talismans, and removed the Territory Wars. Skill enhancement routes for the awakened classes are collected in a separate article, Tauti: awakened class skill enhancements.
The data reflects the Goddess of Destruction Chapter 2 - Tauti update; many names of new NPCs, items and quests are translated from the Russian client and may differ from the official English localization.
Castle sieges

- Instead of two Sunday sieges (16:00-18:00 and 20:00-22:00) there is now one, on Sunday from 20:00 to 22:00. Sieges take place every two weeks.
- Castle gates destroyed during a campaign are restored when the siege starts.
- Ramun NPC points were added near Aden and Rune castles.
Castles of Light and Darkness
Right after the update all castles go over to the side of Light. The Ruler's Seal skill was removed and replaced by Seal of Light and Seal of Darkness. If Seal of Light is used during a siege, the castle becomes a Castle of Light after the siege; with Seal of Darkness it becomes a Castle of Darkness. After the siege, Envoys appear for 1 hour so the side can be chosen again.
| Feature | Castle of Light | Castle of Darkness |
|---|---|---|
| NPC sales tax | 0% | 30% |
| NPC purchase tax | Cannot be set | 10% |
| Cloaks | Chamberlain: Cloak of Dazzling Light; Court Magician: Cloak of Light | Chamberlain: Cloak of Cold Darkness; Court Magician: Cloak of Darkness |
| Residence skill | Abilities of Light: +10% normal and skill damage in PvP, max CP up to 3000 (does not work for chaotic characters) | Abilities of Darkness: +10% normal and skill damage in PvP, max CP up to 3000 |
| Sky over the castle | Clears up | Covered by dark clouds |
| Special | The quest "A Castle Plunged into Darkness"; a Herald in the castle town gives a +3% XP buff | The Revolutionary NPC sells weapons usable from level 40 that grant skills usable only in the Siege Zone; a PK by a member of the Dark Castle clan raises PvP points (PK points and reputation are unaffected) |
The old residence skills are removed for both types of castle.
| Cloak | Effect |
|---|---|
| Cloak of Dazzling Light / Cloak of Cold Darkness | +3 to all base stats, -15% PvP damage taken, the Teleport: Castle skill, +15 to all elements |
| Cloak of Light / Cloak of Darkness | +2 to all base stats, -5% PvP damage taken, the Teleport: Castle skill, +10 to all elements |
Chaotic characters cannot wear the Castle of Light cloaks.
Taxes
- Talking Island Village now belongs to the Gludio territory and Floran Village to the Dion territory.
- The NPC sales tax of Alko was raised from 20% to 30%.
- Tax income now depends on the higher-tier castles: Gludio, Dion, Giran, Oren and Innadril receive taxes only while Aden is a Castle of Darkness, and Goddard and Schuttgart only while Rune is a Castle of Darkness. The income goes into the castle vault at midnight every Sunday if the defense campaign of the higher-tier castle succeeds and its owner does not change.
- Prices at the Merchant of Mammon depend on the tax of the town where he stands.
Siege quests
The goal of the siege quests is to take a Castle of Darkness away from players: after the Dark Chamberlain is defeated, the castle becomes neutral and then passes to NPCs.
| Quest | Level | Where | Conditions and task | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free Flight to the Dark Star (Castle of Darkness, chapter "Liberation") | 40+ | Revolutionary Commander (Captain of the Revolutionary Army of Dusk) in Aden and Rune when they are Castles of Darkness | Repeatable; defeat the Dark Chamberlain | 30,000 Fame for the Aden or Rune chamberlain, 6,000 Fame for the chamberlain of Goddard, Innadril, Schuttgart, Oren, Gludio, Dion or Giran |
| Light Guardian's Flight to the Dark Star (Castle of Darkness, chapter "Defender of Light") | 85+ | Revolutionary Commander inside a Castle of Light | Repeatable, only for players of a Castle of Light; defeat the Dark Chamberlain | Revolutionary's Chest and 6,000 Fame |
| Lord of the Castle of Light and Shadow of Darkness - Gludio, Dion, Giran, Oren, Innadril, Goddard, Schuttgart | Clan level 10 | Chamberlain of Light of your castle | One-time; kill the Dark Chamberlain of Aden or Rune if they have become Castles of Darkness | 10,000 clan reputation |
| Lord of the Castle of Light and Shadow of Darkness - Aden | Clan level 10 | Chamberlain of Light of Aden Castle | Kill the Dark Chamberlain of Rune when it is a Castle of Darkness | 10,000 clan reputation |
| Lord of the Castle of Light and Shadow of Darkness - Rune | Clan level 10 | Chamberlain of Light of Rune Castle | Kill the Dark Chamberlain of Aden when it is a Castle of Darkness | 10,000 clan reputation |
| The Time Calls for New Heroes - Aden / Rune | 76+ | Secret Instigator Besterman (Aden) / Caroline (Rune), near the siege zone | Repeatable; players on the Light side repair ballistas, destroy the gates and speed up the capture during the siege | - |
The Revolutionary's Chest may contain attribute crystals, an armor enchant scroll (R-grade), a weapon enchant scroll (R-grade), and recipes and parts for Helios weapons and Eidios armor.
The Castle of Darkness quests can be completed during the "Return the Stolen Taxes" campaign.
Clans

Clan pets and the Hateful Demon
New items let clans earn clan reputation and personal reputation:
| Item | Effect |
|---|---|
| Special Clan Pet (Raccoon) | Summons a tame clan pet, a raccoon |
| Special Clan Pet (White Cat) | Summons a tame clan pet, a white cat |
| Special Clan Pet (Desert Fox) | Summons a tame clan pet, a sand fox |
| Summoning Scroll: Hateful Demon | Summons a combat Hateful Demon |
- The summoning scrolls can be used only by members of clans of level 5 or higher.
- 72 hours after summoning a tame pet the clan gets 100 reputation points and, with some chance, a Mysterious Pouch with a reward. Tame pets can be traded.
- Killing the Hateful Demon within the time limit gives 1000 personal reputation and 30 clan reputation, plus a chance of Elemental Crystal Shards. The demon uses heal, stun, air bind and other skills and can be killed together with other characters.
- Pet items and summoning scrolls are bought with Mysterious Marks earned in the Ceremony of Chaos.
Clan pets: raccoon, white cat and sand fox
Clan Flag and Clan Mark
- The Clan Flag skill was added. First buy the Spellbook - Clan Flag from the Clan Merchant for 1000 clan reputation. Using it requires the rank of Marquis or higher and 100 clan reputation.
- The flag stays for 30 minutes. It gives clan members the Clan Morale effect for 10 minutes (more PvP damage, less damage taken) and everyone else the Clan Curse effect for 10 minutes. The curse has no other effect but works at the same range, so it shows the radius of another clan's flag.
- The Clan Flag cannot be used in the Ceremony of Chaos or the Olympiad; Clan Morale effects do not stack.
- The Clan Crest was renamed Clan Mark. It is registered as a 256x256 px TGA file (24 or 32 bit). Old-size crests can no longer be used and their data is deleted completely. The Clan Mark is shown on the Clan Shield, Clan Flag and Clan Tomb.
- Clan level 11 can now be obtained from the clan NPC while holding the Cloak of Dazzling Light, which is given to Castle of Light owners.
- Fixed a bug where clan skills did not activate when clan reputation was above 0.
Ceremony of Chaos

The Ceremony of Chaos is a new free-for-all clan PvP mode.
Requirements
- Membership in a clan of level 3 or higher.
- Level 76 or higher with three class changes. A dual class or subclass meeting these conditions is also allowed.
- A character who no longer meets the conditions at the moment of transfer is not moved to the Arena.
Schedule
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| Period | One month: at 0:00 on the 1st of each month the previous Ceremony ends and the next begins |
| Matches | Daily, twice an hour from 17:00 to 24:00 |
| Invitations | Eligible characters receive an invitation every hour at minutes 0-10 and 30-40 (a dialog icon or an icon on the radar in the upper right corner). The "Participate" button registers, the "Cancel" button in the registration window withdraws |
| End of registration | At minutes 10 and 40 of each hour; the invitations disappear |
| Waiting | Minutes 10-16 and 40-45; at minutes 13 and 43 a message announces 120 seconds until transfer |
| Transfer | At minutes 15 and 45 participants are moved to a random Arena, 1 to 18 players per Arena depending on the number of entries |
A character is not moved to the Arena if he is in an instance zone, his inventory is full or over 80% weight, he has left the clan, does not meet the level and class requirement, is chaotic or holds a cursed weapon.
On transfer, buffs are kept, the character leaves his party, summoned servitors and cubics are dismissed, HP/MP/CP are fully restored and skill cooldowns of up to 15 minutes are reset.
The match
- A window with the Ceremony rules appears in the Arena. For the first 60 seconds participants are invisible to each other and can use buffs and items.
- Then invisibility is removed and the fight starts. Participants' names are replaced with Challenger1, Challenger2 and so on, and everyone is hostile to everyone. Pets are also shown under their default names (a wolf as "Wolf", a dragon as "Dragon") even if the owner renamed them.
- Chat, private stores and workshops, teleport and summon skills and some other actions do not work in the Arena.
- Any transformation except flying ones, consumables and pet summoning are allowed.
- Dying in the Arena costs no experience.
- 1 and 3 minutes after the start all invisibility (Shadow Hide, Mysterious Shadow and so on) is removed, announced by a system message and an on-screen message.
- Matches are normal (PvP between characters) or event matches, in which aggressive NPCs appear and drop herbs and exclusive Ceremony items with some chance.
Victory and rewards
- Alone: a normal match is won immediately; an event match is won by killing 5 aggressive NPCs within 6 minutes (dying or running out of time is a loss).
- Two or more players: the last survivor, or whoever killed the most within 6 minutes, wins. If two or more survive after 6 minutes with equal kills, it is a draw. A character killed by a player or NPC loses and becomes a spectator.
- 1-5 Mysterious Boxes appear near the winner; picked up within 30 seconds, they give 2-4 Mysterious Marks, a 3-day Mysterious Belt and, with some chance, other items. The loser gets 2 Mysterious Marks when leaving the Arena. Leaving the Arena early forfeits the reward.
- 30 seconds after the match participants are returned to where they entered; after a disconnect or server crash - to Rune.
- The /Ceremony of Chaos command shows how many Mysterious Marks you have earned in the current period.
Exclusive Ceremony items can be dropped by NPCs in event matches or bought for Mysterious Marks from the Mysterious Butler. Only the owner can use them; they can be kept in the private warehouse but cannot be dropped, traded, bought or sold.
| Item | Effect | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|
| Mysterious Power | Sets your own HP/MP/CP to 1; with a 20% chance inflicts a lethal strike on the opponent | 6 min |
| Mysterious Shadow | Invisibility, speed -30% | 6 min |
Best Warrior
- The character who earned the most Mysterious Marks in a month becomes the Best Warrior. The marks earned are counted, not the marks held, so they can be spent before the result. If anyone ties with the leader, no Best Warrior is named for that period.
- The Best Warrior receives from the Mysterious Butler the belt "Authority of Rulers", 5000 clan reputation, 50,000 personal reputation and an announcement of the title.
- His clan becomes the Best Clan: for a month its members passing near the Mysterious Butler receive the Ruler's Blessing buff (30 minutes), which raises the success rate of debuffs by 30%.
Penalties
- An entry can be cancelled without penalty at minutes 0-7 and 30-37 of each hour.
- A ban from 1 match is given for cancelling at minutes 8-15 or 38-45, for being unable to transfer after registering (instance zone, overloaded inventory, leaving the clan, level or class, chaotic status, cursed weapon), for disconnecting after registering or before the match ends, and for leaving the Arena with the "Exit" button before the match ends.
- After 30 penalties a character can no longer take part and receives no invitations. Penalties reset at the start of the next period.
Mysterious Butler
The new Mysterious Butler NPC stands next to the Olympiad Manager in every village. He sells goods for Mysterious Marks, personal reputation and adena, shows the names of the Best Warrior, the Best Clan and the current period leader, and lets you watch Ceremony matches.
| Item | Description | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|
| Mysterious Ring | Summons a chosen clan member to your location. Lasts 60 days. Cannot be traded, dropped or sold | 1 hour |
| Mysterious Scroll | Teleports a chosen chaotic character. Cannot be traded, dropped or sold | 30 min |
| Chaos Healing Potion | Restores 2500 HP; the remaining power restores CP. Can be traded, dropped and sold | - |
Territory Wars removed
The Territory Wars system and its NPCs were removed:
- Related quests can no longer be started or completed; rewards for quests started before the update are given by the News Informer in villages.
- Territory Badges can be donated to the Aden Restoration Union: 1 Territory Badge + 100,000 adena = 1 Treasure Chest.
- Goods previously sold for Territory Badges moved to the Ceremony of Chaos rewards, and the exclusive goods could be bought from the News Informer NPC for a limited time.
Members of the Aden Restoration Union exchange head accessories for 6 new ones that accept pendants (each exchange also needs a head accessory certificate):
| New head accessory | What to give |
|---|---|
| Elegant Angel Circlet | Angel Halo + certificate |
| Elegant Devil Horns | Angel Halo + certificate |
| Eye Patch | Cat Ears + certificate |
| Pirate's Eye Patch | Rabbit Ears + certificate |
| Bandit's Eye Patch | Raccoon Ears + certificate |
| Party Hat | Fashionable Hat + certificate |
Grand Olympiad
- Olympiad Manager stock: S, R and R95 weapons and armor were removed; R99 weapons and armor and the Codex of Awakening (including Mastery, Discipline and Oblivion) were added. Prices changed.
- The Hero's Cloak and Cloak of Glory used to raise only HP/CP; now they also raise M. Def., all stats and elemental resistance.
- The Hero's Quick Healing Potion used to restore a share of max HP (differently depending on the HP level); it now restores up to 5000 HP and the rest goes to CP.
Attributes, vitality and mentoring
- Damage taken is reduced when the defense attribute is higher than the attack attribute: raising elemental defense lowers incoming damage and raising attack power raises outgoing damage.
- An item's attribute now also gives an attack bonus (shown in the interface) when non-elemental skills are used. For an elemental skill the skill's element still takes priority; if the skill and item elements match, their values add up.
- Monsters below level 95 have lower attribute values; their XP and SP changed together with their stats.
- Vitality consumption was reduced for solo play and parties of 2 to 6. Hovering over the vitality menu in the character window shows how many more times this week a vitality item can be used.
- Fixed: buffs shared by mentor and mentee persisted when entering the Olympiad stadium; the race was missing in the target settings of the Mentor's Assistants.
- Fixed the wrong display of fortress barracks capture on the minimap after opening and closing it.
Skill changes
- Changing the enhancement route no longer lowers the enhancement level.
- New enhancement types were added for skills after Awakening:
| Type | Effect | Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Attack | Extra damage | Light Step | Speed |
| Entangle | Slow | Might | P. Atk. |
| Shield | P. Def. | Empower | M. Atk. |
| Magic Barrier | M. Def. | Shield Defense | Shield defense |
| Weakness | Lower P. Atk. | Hex | Lower P. Def. |
| Mind | Lower M. Def. | Range | Effect range |
| Stun / Knockdown / Paralysis Chance | Higher effect chance | Bleed / Poison / Hold Chance | Higher effect chance |
| Fear / Sleep / Banish Chance | Higher effect chance | Crushing Shock / Knockdown / Paralysis | Lower resistance to the effect |
| Crushing Bleed / Poison / Hold | Lower resistance to the effect | Crushing Fear / Crushing Sleep | Lower resistance to the effect |
- P. Atk. now weighs more in the damage formulas of all physical skills: the higher it is, the more skill damage grows.
- Soulshots give Othell Rogues even more damage.
- The Aeore Healer servitor "Healing Light" now attacks at long range instead of melee; its PvE abilities were improved.
- The success rate of Justice Punishment was increased; it does not work on raid bosses.
- "Birth of the Clan" now also boosts M. Atk. and M. Def., while its P. Atk. and P. Def. boost was reduced.
- The M. Atk. boost of "Party Unity" level 3 was increased.
- Light Armor Mastery was removed from the Aeore Healer - both from the 3rd-class skills granted temporarily before the Awakening skills are learned and from the 3rd-class skills of an awakened character.
- Superior Light Armor Mastery of the Othell Rogue and Yul Archer now raises or lowers speed and the critical rate of physical skills depending on DEX when light armor is worn.
- Five Iss Enchanter skills changed, and skills learned at levels 90 and 95 were added:
| Skill | Change |
|---|---|
| Assault Rush | Debuff duration 5 sec -> 10 sec |
| Shadow Blade | Debuff duration 5 sec -> 10 sec |
| Blazing Rage | Debuff duration 5 sec -> 10 sec |
| Crushing Storm | Cooldown 15 sec -> 10 sec, debuff duration 5 sec -> 10 sec |
| Angel's Resurrection | Effect 20% -> 40% |
- Fixed: Damage Reflection and Vampiric Rage did not trigger on Hurricane Storm and Energy Blast; Shadow Dance could not be enhanced properly; the Maestro could not learn Create Item level 10 through "Learn Skill"; a chaotic character spent SP incorrectly when enhancing; Summon Spiritshot was shown as unusable; the enhanced Release Life did not affect casters and consumed HP incorrectly.
- The reward for 3rd-class skills enhanced at Awakening (Giant's Essence, SP) was planned to be increased by 30%.
Hunting zones

Seed of Hellfire
Tauti was originally Bremnon's instrument, but on Shilen's orders she founded the Seed of Hellfire on the Gracia continent to expand Shilen's military power, bringing her servants Zahak, Kunda and Sofa. While carrying out Shilen's orders, Tauti never misses a chance to grow stronger herself.
- Recommended level 97+, a party-type zone. A permanent zone with regular monsters; here you take the quest for the "Battle with Tauti" instance (normal and extreme).
- The northern part (floors 1-2) is for hunting groups of monsters, the southern part for single monsters.
- When Tauti (normal or extreme) is defeated more than a set number of times, the Seed moves from its normal state to stage 2, "captured by players". After that the teleport assistant NPC can take you to floor 3 - Kunda's Training Hall, where items are obtained by gathering.
Tauti
- Recommended level 97+, a raid-type instance: 14-35 players in normal mode, 21-35 in extreme mode.
- Entry is inside the Seed of Hellfire: normal mode through the NPC Sizrak, extreme mode through the NPC Aku.
- Access resets every Wednesday at 6:30 AM.
Guillotine Fortress
This was once the Execution Grounds: here Guillotine, using monsters gripped by bloody visions, built a fortress and turned the place of execution into his stronghold. The souls of the innocent dead now wander it. Guillotine named himself Guillotine of Death, gathered his servants and armed them with the mighty Chaos Shield.
- Level 95-97, a party-type zone; it replaced the Execution Grounds and all monsters are new.
- Some monsters use the Chaos Shield to max out their P. Def. and M. Def. The shield is vulnerable to the Tyrr Warrior's Armor Destruction: after a hit with it, the chance to land a half-kill on a shielded monster increases. A half-kill or a certain amount of damage breaks the Chaos Shield, and the monsters are stunned for a while.
- Eye of Eternity Watcher Isad and fortress scout Gazem are aggressive - be careful.
- Monsters in the fortress have a low chance to drop a Proof of Life; hunting while holding it may spawn the event monster Hellfire Scaldisect.
- Some monsters appear only at in-game night.
- Raid bosses: Guillotine of Death, Chief Warden Houpan, Maddened Kruk.
Dimensional Treasure Chests
- Regular Treasure Chests in hunting zones were replaced by Dimensional Treasure Chests with more valuable rewards that depend on the zone's level.
- Talking to the chest summons a Dimensional Gate (it exists for 3 minutes) leading to the instance of the Hell Gatekeeper phantom Bergamo. Bergamo summons three chests, and you choose one of them.
- A non-aggressive "Bergamo's Chest" NPC also appears in Bergamo's room; it can be killed with one hit or an Octon Bomb and drops various herbs.
- Bergamo's room exists for 3 minutes after entry and holds up to 14 players.
Changes to existing zones
- Ramun, who teleports to Guillotine Fortress, was added in Dion and Giran.
- Monster HP and XP were increased in the Bloody Mist area (Altar of Evil, Bloody Swampland), Fairy Settlement and at the Forbidden Gateway.
- Monster stats were lowered to make hunting easier with elemental gear.
- Seed of Annihilation - Birthing Room: the time limit was cut from 30 to 25 minutes; when it runs out, Tai gives XP according to the number of remains collected.
- Balthus Knights - Antharas Expedition: an Expedition Crystal Pouch was added to the Expedition Reward Chest.
- Fixed reduced XP in some hunting zones of level 85 and below.
Items
PvP and PvE specialization of Helios weapons

- R99 Helios items can be given a PvP or PvE specialization at the Blacksmith of Mammon.
- A PvP weapon is called "Dark ... of Helios": higher physical and magic PvP damage and PvP skill damage, and with some chance no PK points are added for a PK.
- A PvE weapon is called "Bloody ... of Helios": higher physical and magic PvE damage, and buffs are kept when the character is killed by an NPC.
- The specialization is upgraded with Power of the Giants, Energy of Destruction and Helios Enhancement Stones. Energy of Destruction comes from hunting and quests; Power of the Giants is bought at the residence or received for an Olympiad quest. Helios Enhancement Stone - PvE drops in the battle with Tauti, Helios Enhancement Stone - PvP is earned in the castle siege campaign.
Seed Talismans

- A Seed Talisman is exchanged for Energy of Destruction or Power of the Giants at the Seed Talisman Manager in Aden and Rune castles and at the Keucereus Alliance Base. Exchanging the talisman at the same NPC may, with some chance, give a High-Grade Seed Talisman.
- Unlike regular talismans, a Seed Talisman has no mana and no time limit.
- Possible effects: higher max HP/MP/CP, physical and magic accuracy, physical and magic evasion, Vampiric Rage, Atk. Spd. and Casting Spd., critical and magic critical rate, P. Atk. and M. Atk., skill power, resistance to damage reflection, P. Def. and M. Def., lower skill MP cost, higher STR/INT, CON/MEN, DEX/WIT.
- If a regular and a high-grade Seed Talisman are worn together, only the high-grade one works.
- The effects depend on the type of talisman: Destruction, Fire, Desire or Lust.
- The daily quest "With the Energy of Destruction Inside" (90+) belongs to the Seed Talisman system: defeat one of Tauti, Istina, Octavis, Spezion, Baylor, Balok or Fron, obtain a Twisted Magic Crystal and bring it to the Seed Talisman Manager (Keucereus Alliance Base, Aden, Rune).
Tauti weapons

Three Tauti weapons were added: Tauti's One-handed Axe, Tauti's Axe and Tauti's Dual Axes. They require Tauti Fragments (from extreme Tauti) and various materials; they are crafted by Master Ishuma at the Gludio Airship Field.
Life Stones and other changes
- New augments were added for R-grade Life Stones; some of them consume B-grade gemstones.
- Higher levels were added for the item skills Enchant, Reconciliation, Guidance, Agility, Steel Body, Winter, Add Aggression, Aggression, Hold, Mana Gain, Slow, Bleed, Shield, Empower, Spell Clarity, Might, Magic Barrier, Poison, Reduce Aggression and Skill Clarity.
- The amount of materials for crafting unidentified R-grade equipment changed. From level 95, new recipes for normal and blessed equipment use Weapon Fragments, Armor Fragments and Accessory Gemstones instead of the old materials.
- Fixed: duplicate accessories in the head accessory exchange list of the Aden Restoration Union member, and accessory enchant levels lost after upgrading with a pendant; wrong P. Atk. in the description of "Phantasm Throw: Damage Increase + Focus"; Copper Arrows cost less than Mithril Arrows; wrong Rare Soul Crystal information on R-grade weapons obtained for the Graduation Certificate; the attack animation of the "Sealed Valhalla Sword"; the seal could not be removed from "Sealed Apocalypse Avenger: Haste"; the Weapon Seal Scroll - D could give a non-tradable "Unidentified Elven Long Sword"; crystal cost of "CP Elixir - R-grade"; wrong magic critical rate in the set descriptions of R-grade armor (Hell, Kadeira and Eidios sets).
