KF2 Suicide Key: Drop Weapons and Dosh, Then Die

Leaving a match and taking all your dosh and weapons with you is rude to your team. This bind, written by a community player on request, does the polite thing in one keypress: it drops your weapons, tosses all your money to teammates and then kills your character. It triggers on Ctrl+0 (the Ctrl is intentional, to prevent accidental use) and drops up to 11 weapons and 49,850 dosh. You can edit it to taste. Installation

Close the game, then open Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config\KFInput.ini and add the binding below under the [KFGame.KFPlayerInput] section, next to the other Bindings=(Name=... lines. If editing the file gives you trouble, see a guide on custom Say keybinds first.

What the command does

The binding is named Zero (the 0 key) with Control=True. Its command is a long chain joined by |:

  1. GBA_DropWeapon drops the weapon you hold.
  2. About 100 times GBA_TossMoney. Each toss throws 50 dosh.
  3. Repeat the drop-and-toss block. In total 11 GBA_DropWeapon and 997 GBA_TossMoney appear, which gives the 49,850 dosh figure.
  4. say *Suicided* - ... announces it in chat.
  5. OnRelease Suicide kills the character when you release the key.

Generating the full line

The original guide split the command into three pieces because it is about 16,000 characters long, and warned that the pieces must be joined with no stray spaces. Instead of pasting it by hand, generate it with a short Python script and paste the result into the file:

parts = ["GBA_DropWeapon"]
for n in [100] * 9 + [97]:
    parts += ["GBA_TossMoney"] * n + ["GBA_DropWeapon"]
parts += ["say *Suicided*", "OnRelease Suicide"]
cmd = " | ".join(parts)
print('Bindings=(Name="Zero",Command="' + cmd + '",Control=True,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)')

The output is a single line. Paste it as one line, with no line breaks.

Tips

  • Keep the line unbroken. A stray space inside a command name such as GBA_TossMoney makes that part fail.
  • You can lower the number of tosses or drops if you carry less, or change the key by editing Name="Zero".
  • Use it only when you are leaving the match anyway. Teammates need to be close enough to pick up the dosh.

FAQ

Which key combination triggers the suicide bind?
Ctrl+0. The Ctrl requirement is there so you do not trigger it by accident.
How much does it drop?
Up to 11 weapons and 49,850 dosh (997 money tosses of 50 dosh), if you actually carry that much. The command hit the maximum length the game allows.
Where does the bind go?
In KFInput.ini under [KFGame.KFPlayerInput], in Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config.
