KF2 Controlled Difficulty: Install and Fix Bugsplat (Portuguese Guide)
This short Portuguese guide shows how to run Controlled Difficulty, the popular gameplay mod, without crashes. It has two steps: install the mod and a compatible HUD, then fix the Bugsplat crash the mod can trigger. For general use of the mod see Controlled Difficulty beginner guide.
Installing the mod
- Download Controlled Difficulty Eternal v4.1 from the Workshop.
- Install the Classic Scoreboard HUD as well. It resolves errors that Controlled Difficulty causes with the original KF2 HUD.
Fixing Bugsplat
If the mod causes a Bugsplat crash:
- Open
C:\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config. - Open the
KFEnginefile with Notepad or any text editor. - Find these lines (Ctrl + F helps):
MaxObjectsNotConsideredByGC=179220SizeOfPermanentObjectPool=179220
- Change them to:
MaxObjectsNotConsideredByGC=33476SizeOfPermanentObjectPool=0
- Save the file. Everything should now work.
